Refresh Dental, Pittsburgh PA

Dentist Dan and most of the staff were very nice. I believe most of the staff is inexperienced and cheaper for your bottom line. Refresh definitely went cheap with the dental lab. None of my crowns were well made, by the time it was ground down enough that I could close my mouth I have 2 flat crowns with a few sharp edges that don't grind my food. The inside of my mouth was sore for days with blood blisters and many irritated areas. I am looking for a private dentist to complete my dental needs. Please run from REFRESH Dental for anything more that teeth cleaning

If I could give negative stars I would. I had a crown down there about 3 years ago and of course it didn't hold and had to be replaced.over a 1000 dollars later they replaced it and with in the first week i had to go back out and have it recemented 3 times.now its 7 months later it falls again.come on this should jot be happening if you cement things correctly.this office has gone down hill since it has been refresh dental.when it was just Dr. Smiga you got treated with respect.now I get treated like I am stupid. I HATE even thinking about having to go to the dentist now.they should be ashamed for what they charge for the piss poor work they do

If i could rate this place 0 stars i would. I have 3 children whom are patients.well were patients after today due to refreah wanted to reschedule again. We have been rescheduled 4 times. I understand covid related issues and having to reschedule once maybe twice. But 4 times. My children have iasues with their teeth and my daughter needs braces. I pull up today for an appointment and are told that someone left me a voicemail 2 days ago asking to reschedule. Well im sorry but i was in the hospital after having major surgery and didnt not get that voicemail. You would think 3 patients would atleast get a return call confirming we received the message. Instead they have us come all the way here and tell us that they are sorry but they are having trouble getting hygienist to come to work. One just had surgery. Okay im sorry but how is your staffing issue my concern.

I was very pleased with the steps they take prior to entering the office to keep patients safe. Dental Hygienist was very pleasant and professional. I recommend this establishment for your dental needs.

I went in to fix another "dentist's" shotty work. The staff are welcoming, personable and professional. The Dentists here will GET. YOU. NUMB.the first time and have a genuine concern for your comfort. Their location takes Aetna DMO and they provide you the option of Care Credit to help pay off any work that's out of pocket.

The dental hygienist was so sweet and nice to talk to. She cared about your comfort level and how the appointment was going.

It's a calm place. The workers understand your complaints and they try their best to make you comfortable.

Cheryl was really nice doing the xrays & teeth cleaning. Have been seeing Dr. Smiga for 30 yrs - always a pleasure.

I've gone to Dr. Smiga for years. I need, and have needed substantial dental work. Dr. Smiga always fully explains what procedures need to be done, and works with me to find the best plan on proceeding. His technicians are always friendly, and explain everything along the way. The new facility is beautiful!

These guys were great with my kids. They also didn't frown on me using non fluriode toothpaste for them. My kids were comfortable the whole. It was a great experience.

The fact is that after smiga went to refresh, the first visit someone tried to sell me toothbrush. The second visit I was there for a cleaning and a peradontal exam was done and a quote for over 600$ (toothbrush included) was given to me. I said I would think about and my teeth were not cleaned. No reason why. My third visit for cleaning I was told they would not do it untill I had the peridontal work completed. (which I was not told previously). Twenty years with doc.too bad.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure I was comfortable. They really care about you.

Nice people. Very knowledgeable and good at what they do. Appointment was at 9: 00 and they brought me back at 8: 58. In and out and on with the rest of my day. Thank You.
