Regal Cinemas Dickson City 14 & IMAX reviews
22 Such a great way to see movies, but has gone to disrepair within the last ten years, with the curtains in auditoriums six and nine, no longer working, the lights in auditorium 2 don't fully dim, the light fixture on auditorium 8 was hanging for dear life, and the concessions aren't as good as the ones at Cinemark, and the social distancing at Regal was handled poorly, especially on the day that this theater reopened the first time, from the badly handled Contactless Concessions to the fact that the Mountain Dew was basically just water
That's why I'm downgrading my rating to a three star review
There was no person at the normal Windows outside the theater area to purchase tickets so you had to figure out to go inside and ask the ticket collecting person how do you get a ticket. They were selling tickets at the concession stand. There wasn't any sign at the window out front to tell you the tickets are being sold at the concession stand please go inside. So we go inside the theater and sit down and the movie starts but the house lights never go out and we're watching the movie for close to an hour with all the bright lights on in the theater and you can't even see the screen until we couldn't take it anymore and we walked out we left and we asked for a refund then we left the movie theater.
They had the better unlimited package and gives bonus points for see seeing movies so we can get the occasional free drink or popcorn, well worth it if you go to the movies regularly.
They are following regulations for mask wearing and distancing which is appreciated. Staff is always friendly. I have no complaints.
They have pounders, but you can't buy them yet they're only there to look at for now like any movie theater, its pricey, but its the movies. What do you expect? Bring a mask, one is required unless eating until further notice.
Went to see the Doors movie and asked if I could have the poster on the wall since I was in the movie. The manager Tina made sure I got the poster when I got out of the move. I am so grateful! Thank you Regal Dickson City!
Cold cold cold! Definantly needs the heat on.matinee during the week was $16 which was to much for a Tuesday 1st movie of the day. W
Saw STAR WARS: The Rise of Skywalker in IMAX 3D. Aside from the staff giving the patrons the wrong 3D Glasses for the showing, the service and showing were splendid.
Not much seating room. If the person in front of you reclines their seat for the entire movie, you'll have no leg room. The screens are great. The popcorn is fresh. And the place is clean.
I just want to start off by saying that it's impeccably clean. The surround sound was fantastic. The price for the tickets (mind you we bought them offline) weren't very expensive. My main pet peeves are the concession counter prices. I know you pay a lot at concession counter/stands every where you go. These were like next level prices. I'm not going to get into it exactly how much I'll tell you one thing though. You are going to be digging in your wallet pretty tough if you buy anything from this concession counter. Another thing is the seats are way too close together. If you have younger kids in the seat behind you. You will know and be turning around constantly. It's really not their fault. It's because they recline and there isn't enough room for them to recline. So keep this in mind if your planning on going to a premier like we did. You will find out quick what I'm on about. It's not a easy cheap date night anymore. If you want to go to the movies like we did in our day. It's a pricy night out. That's plain and simple.
Loved it got my tickets online didnt have to wait in line for the movie. The movie was wonderful. Ill be going back soon
It's ok but they need to keep the concession stand area cleaner and employees need to practice sanitary
Movies are very expensive, so be prepared to spend at least $40 for a family of 4 on tickets alone. Snacks are also very expensive. Every time I get the cheetos popcorn (about 5 times now), they only fill it halfway and charge $6.99 for a very small bag. The picture provided was before I ate any out of the bag and this happened at least 3 out of the 5 times I ordered it. The seats are not very comfortable and the theaters smell like a zoo when you walk in. It always appears very clean though.
Nice place, many available movie formats (3D, etc), big reclining comfortable seats. Many theaters.
The seats were very squishy the food was overpriced and there was no ticket collector but otherwise it was amazing I really enjoyed BlacKkKlansman
This theatre has a large parking lot with ample spaces for customers. The outside looks sleek and modern. The chair recline backwards. The tickets prices are about average but the earlier showings are cheaper which is nice. Very comfortable stadium seating. A great theatre close to shopping and restaurants.
Too expensive even for movie theater food. And the movie was too loud zven in the center of the room.
This is probably the most advanced theatre in NEPA, especially the iMax which is what I go for. The seats are very roomy and the place is clean and comfortable. The only gripe I have with all modern theatres is the sound system is way too loud for the average listener with action scenes actually painful to my ears. If they just back it off about 10% it would be more enjoyable. Otherwise it's a 5 star place.
IMAX - watched Mission Impossible but too loud, and sound quality poor. Regal Cinema which charges convenience fee to preorder tickets (AMC does not). And if I wanted to use my hard earned points, I can't on an IMAX movie. Disappointing.
Always enjoy coming here. Clean atmosphere with decent priced tickets. The concession stand is exspensive, but aren't they always.
Amazing experience for a person who is deaf in one ear! They have audio caption glasses that I wore during the film. I was able to read the captions. It’s been years since I enjoyed a movie like that.
