We tried 8 total items across two flights and disliked half of them

When we returned them still half full the person just said okay goodnight and didn’t ask if we liked what we had.

They charge for water to cleanse your pallet

Disappointed

Nice atmosphere! Live music and awesome flights and flight boards. We were helped by Jackie who was knowledge and friendly! Would come back!

We were here this past weekend with our golden retriever group and had an amazing time. Hubby and I have walked past this place a couple of times when in town but this is the first time we got to experience it. We enjoyed the music and although I'm usually a mixed drink person I really enjoyed the ciders we tried, especially the peach one. The charcuterie board selection was very nice, our golden really enjoyed being able to share the apples and a couple of bites of cheese. Looking forward to trying the strawberry cider on our next visit. The staff was friendly and we really appreciated the place welcoming us at the last minute and love that you offer a pet friendly patio.

Really great ciders here in a quiet setting; came for a flight and returned next day for pints of our favorites. Country Bear and Apple Crisp are delicious!

Very accommodating, going the extra mile after they had closed out for the evening to let me purchase two bottles of cider. Some of the best tasting ciders in this area.

Stopped by for incredible live music from Across the Pond in a well designed heated tent. The back patio area could fit probably 40 people comfortably. I actually didn't try any of their wines but I noticed almost everyone was enjoying a flight and several people bought bottles to take home, so I'd bet their stuff is good!

Few nice visits now. Live music. 2nd floor room can be rented for parties. Simple. Nice. Friendly staff.

We were at the tasting room and witnessed a tour come in. Apparently, lodging houses in town bring guests to recommended establishments.

While there, we witnessed the most horrible scene and, as we come to Gettysburg routinely and visit local businesse can honestly say we will NEVER RETURN TO REIDS again and will recommend everyone away from it from now on.

The tour guide led the customers in quietly and began recommending ciders. The only thing we heard the guide say was that he preferred one cider over another-which, for anyone who's ever had a guided tasting or flight is exactly what you want thr bartender or sommelier to do-but apparently, it's not OK to voice one's opinion in Reid's Winery and Cider House.

The bartender proceeded to encourage a very drunk man-instead of asking my him to leave the tasting room, which is what should have been done-to go and harass the guide and the guests! An employee of this establishment encouraged a drunk patron to accost another patron because he preferred one cider over another!

As if that wasn't bad enough, the guide returned with 2 of the guests and asked for the manager. The bartender refused to get the manager. Finally, after the guests demanded enoughtines, the manager came out and proceeded to chastise the guide and the guests! We were in disbelief at this point. This guide that recommended this tasting room over others and-from what we were told when we inquired-consistently brings customers each week, was told to leave and chastised for having tastebuds.

The guide and guests were all sober. The drunk man was allowed to stay and keep drinking. We highly recommend STAYING AWAY FROM a place whose employees instigate conflict and don't allow people the right to drink and enjoy, or not enjoy, freely. DO NOT GO HERE. They are better places in town that know what hospitality and customer service is, and their drinks taste much better, since you're allowed to enjoy them freely.

As many have stated, the owner may want to check in unannounced to see how his staff mistreats his patrons since he would not have a business without many returning patrons.

Though I enjoy the live music and open mics, I will not continue to support this establishment due to the absolutely bold rudeness and nastiness received directly at me, my husband, and friend on August 6,2022. That was the last chance. Unfortunate.for you. There are plenty of other wineries to enjoy. I highly recommend Jack's Hard Cider, Ploughman's, Hope (on the square), and several others in the local downtown area. Why on earth support a business that allows it's staff to literally be mean toward the patrons.

In the last incident, we intended to buy dinner there not realizing the kitchen closed at 8. We accepted that, and asked if it was possible to order from Tommy's pizza and bring it here, and buy our drinks from Reids because we were starving, and came to support Tom May play, and enjoy dinner and drinks.
Being told no is not a problem. The first girl did so nicely and said she'd ask her overseer. The overseer was a complete witch.

My friend and I (hubby was waiting at our table outside under the tent) discussed how to feed all three of our tummies. We discussed going to Tommy's afterwards for a late dinner after listening to Tom Mays play. So I looked up the closing hours online using my phone. The meanest staff person literally came up behind us, eavesdropped, mistook what we were saying, and said VERY nastily, "You can NOT bring outside food in here. " We were taken aback at the time and asked each other, "What IS her real problem here? !? "

Unfortunately, Tommy's closed at 10, the same time as Reids. So we setted for buying 6 lunch boxes, and two bottles of wine. Even with that financial support of Mr. Reids place, the one behind the counter was still SUPER nasty.

At an attempt of light banter as she was ringing up our order, I asked where the kitchen was. Nothing. I nicely asked again, and she just said "over there" with a toss of her head in the general direction of the refrigerator. She seriously has a problem.

From a sincere place in my heart, I nicely asked her, "Are you having a bad day? " to seek some understanding as to why she is so bitter. She said nothing as she was opening one of the bottles of our wine. I asked again nicely, and she mumbled, "I was! " Then had the audacity to say she thought WE had an attitude? My friend and I look at each other with confusion as if to say, "Are we having the same conversation? " Or, "Do you listen to yourself with you speak to others? "

I suggest her higher ups having a chat with her or release her from that position. You are losing customers because of it. Some I see here. Others I know of first hand from friends that no longer go there. Your loss of many good folks that would like to support your establishment, but are put off by your staff, and choosing to go to other nearby wineries where we are treated well.

Nice place to start your tour. Outdoor seating, live music on the weekends in the summer months, and a few simple patio games. LGBTQIA+ friendly.

Absolutely love the ciders. They are very delicious. The wine is also great, also love the stickers and cups for sale. The flights are served a really neat way with a board and little beer cups. Absolutely worth a visit!

The 2 ladies working were VERY rude.
Would never go here. I've been in hospitality for 30 years and can not imagine having people like that working in my establishment.

I was glad they had a dog-friendly and enclosed outdoors seating area with a few propane heaters when I visited today. I shared a flight of 5 different ciders and a decent cheese platter. Employees were very friendly.

Seems that most people go here for the ciders. Four of us wanted to try the red and white wines.nope, we all agreed that this wasn't a place for hood wines!

Top 3 favorite places in Gettysburg. Always our first stop once we get here. Grab a flight, cheese plate, and relax in the outdoor seating area!

I really enjoyed four out of the five ciders I tasted here at Reid’s. Their enclosed back courtyard was very comfortable on a chilly but sunny afternoon.

Stopped in for a tasting. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable, and the wines and ciders were delicious. You can eat inside, but they also have a very nice outdoor eating area, and have live music on the weekends.
