I did not visit this place, but asked locals about it. It is in the middle of a state forest & you should try to call or email them with specific questions. They are only open part of the year, do not just show up, they have some locked gates I saw from the road.

Beautiful place. All the fencing that was put up somewhat recently is disappointing and takes away from the view, but it's understandable why it's there. It took me 5 years to discover there's hiking trails. I'll be going more often

In the past you could walk down to the water and explore a bit, now it's all fenced in, Hardly worth seeing now. They don't even like dogs and no amenities to speak of.
