Restaurant Depot, Harrisburg PA

Sold faulty equipment and they refused to except returns despite coming back within the return window and having a warranty. Was treated rudely by the equipment manager (called himself Rocco?) when I asked about different freezer specs. I have to purchase equipment for two commercial kitchens but wont be coming back here again for equipment. Never had any issue with our restaurant in Chicago, the restaurant depot in that location is miles ahead of this one sadly.

They have a great selection and the produce is especially great! Only downside is that they have no handicap carts so all can shop.

EDIT: I asked the store team two years ago. The decision not to have carts for the handicapped was a home office issue, not local to the stores.

Warehouse type shopping, no carts only large dollies with one shelf. Bring your own bags or buy them there. The do have empty boxes available and free cooler packs. Membership is required to check out and you must have a business license to shop there. The food selection was unreal!

Great Place for Halal Beef, Chicken, Duck, Lamb, Turkey etc.in bulk amount and cheapest price. You have to be a member.

Absolutely love this place! If you are a restaurant owner this is the place you need and know about. Everything you could ever want. Good prices, great selection, friendly staff. Not open to the public unfortunately. But again, restaurant owners and those lucky enough to get in all love it here.

First time here. Prices were great. Will definitely be back for all my future bulk purchasing needs!

Be aware! Same thing happened 3 times in 5 visits. Casher scanning same item twice. She was rude when asked to void last item.

PLEASE READ THIS: make sure to Always review each items and prices after purchase on your receipt you might have surplus this happened to me so many time paying for item i haven't purchase on my receipt.i know people that have encounter the same issue.

Helpful staff, and pretty much always had what I need. Better prices than the food distributors

Always shop four times a month.now once a month isle closed without warning while customers shop, staff cant be found when questions needed.price charged day to day!
checkout is bad, staff members doesnt ask if they can take care of the customers in line they prefer to just stand there or customers have to asked if that line is open! No thank you after checkout very rude!

I used to work at a cafe when I lived in Philadelphia and was given a membership card to get supplies from the local Restaurant Depot there, but when I moved from Philadelphia to Harrisburg I held on to my membership card and I'm so glad I did. They opened this location in late 2015 and even though I don't own a restaurant myself, this place is AWESOME! It's changed the way I host parties and barbeques/cookouts because you can buy food and supplies in bulk for WAAAY cheaper than buying them at the grocery store.

It's also great for access to things you can't find in grocery stores - for example I LOVE lamb gyros, but the lamb meat is impossible to find in the grocery store and Restaurant Depot sells a 5lb frozen box of sliced gyro meat for $18 which makes about 20 gyros! That's less than $2 per gyro when they cost almost $10 at a diner! Just today I was in the mood for clam strips and figured I'd stop at Restaurant Depot on my way home from work before ordering them from somewhere, and got a box of (24) 4oz bags of clam strips for $19! They're about $8 for around 4oz in a restaurant.

I know this place is membership only, but the membership is free. Find someone who owns their own business to get a membership - it doesn't even have to be a restaurant to qualify for a membership. You'll wonder how you ever lived without this place when you do.

Poor customer service. They should offer to help unload items if needed like “The Restaurant Store”.

Every worker here is extremely rude, they treat you like you are 10 years old. Some of their food is expired. I come here because I have no other option

Stood at the front desk in front of two employees and was completely ignored. Horrible service!

It is a good place to buy food in bulk and is cheaper than going to Halal butcher which I am sure also gets the meat from here or some place like this and just makes a profit off it. If you buy discounted items make sure you check the box before buying it. I recently got chicken quarters from the discounted section and did not check the box. Turns out they had freezer burn, I called them and they said we do not take discounted items back. The discount was only 4$ and now they are in a trash can die to being a block of ice and they looked really bad.

The pearson up front said you have to own a business to shop there but yet i saw people with there kids coming out
