Retherford's Village Farm Market and Antiques reviews
6Sarah and Al have really created such a wonderful business. Between the produce, antiques, activities, and all the friendly faces, you'd be hard pressed to find somewhere more inviting. Spring, Summer and Fall 'they have it all'. You can always go to enjoy the beautiful flowers, come home with a plethora of fresh produce, and even some locally raised meats. Enjoy an ice cream cone, fresh cut French fries, the occasional band, and plenty of pop-up stands there most weekends selling their wears. You can enjoy a train ride around the farm with conductor Al which all the children (and adults) enjoy, as well as partake in their annual fall corn maze! There's plenty of things to do and see at Retherford's! And if you're lucky, their son, World Wrestling Champ Zain will be there as well. It's always a good time meeting a small town hero who's out conquering the world.
First time visit yesterday. So this place has a vegetable stand with flowers and stuff and a large antique barn. Vegetable stand was nice prices were average as other stands. There was a nice area for kids to play on old bus, caboose, and a tractor which was nice. So the antique barn was large filled with a large variety of antiques but prices were crazy. So much of the typical stuff was uarked but the other items that were marked were 3x possibly 4x average prices. I did not try to haggle. The low rating is for the pricing there was a nice assortment otherwise
Every time we're in town we stopp by to get some of the wonderful vegetables. It's a must-stop every time we passed through Benton
Uninviting, overpriced and not friendly. A women who I would presume is owner gave me a price of 20 dollars for two old comics, these valued at just a few dollars for fair condition. When trying to negotiate they gave me a price of 15 for one. These comics were valued at best a few dollars if each in good condition. This is what I would call taking advantage and compounding that with unpleasant engagement with customers, yep avoiding this place in the future.
My husband and I came from Wilkes-Barre because they were absolutely amazing. I love to go there.
As a first time shopper in the antiques barn on a cold winter day I found the place fascinating. If you search hard enough you can find all manner of interesting articles for sale. I will return to shop on a warmer day. It will be a double treat when the produce market is open.
