Retrospect, Philadelphia PA

I've been shopping at Retrospect for the last 6 years and sadly, I will no longer bother going after my most recent trip. The prices have increased astronomically. It is nearly impossible to find a blouse for under $20. Most are $28-$32 and they have stains, holes, and other signs of wear. This is a very expensive vintage/thrift store and not at all worth the money.

The staff are also very rude and look for any reason to chastise you. Today I saw the fitting room was open and walked in with four items. When I exited the cashier asked if I had received a card. I said no. Within earshot of many customers she berated me and told me I am not allowed to enter the fitting room without checking in first, though there were no signs posted indicating this policy. She also told me I am not allowed to return clothes to the racks where I pulled them and that I must place them on the (completely full) return rack. I promptly returned all the items and left the store. As I said earlier, I will no longer be shopping there.

Great prices and selection. The workers were all very nice. I prefer Retrospect more than Raxx Vintage that’s down the street since it’s better priced with finds just as good.
