Rey Azteca Wilkinstownship reviews
18Food always has the right amount of spice and flavoring. Service is on point. My family's go to place when we are craving Mexican food. We are not guacamole eaters, but they do make it fresh. My husband is from AZ and it reminds him of restaurants from there. Truly recommend!
We like to eat here. We love Mexican food and this is some of the best we have had in this area.
This place is Clean, The food is delicious, the service is great. If you haven't been the I recommend you go there for yourself.
AFTER my family was seated, looked at the menu, received the guacamole and drinks, we were informed that the grill wasn't working. With the grill not working, it cuts the menu 75%. There was no point for us to have been seated. They didn't tell us at the door when we came in. If they did, we would have left. We did end up leaving. The staff was nice though.
A good place to spend time with family.
I liked the service of the staff and the excellent food.
This was probably the fastest order to serve meal I have had. The servers are attentive and want to ensure you are satisfied. The food was good, no complaints with the quality or portions. I was surprised by how quickly the food was served.
Birria Tacos were just $3 now they’re $3.50. Been coming here for years. Now all of a sudden they’re adding extra charges. On top of that I asked them what is this extra charge and they told me it’s for the plates that the food comes in. Seems suspicious to me and doesn’t seem legal and I won’t be coming back. I ordered take out food how can you charge someone for something the food comes in.
What a pleasant find! We walked in expecting a casual restaurant. The place is not casual and not upscale. Very comfortable. The menu is definitely not casual hard make a choice! The food here is outstanding and well worth the price. Check them out, you'll be glad you did
The food was delicious and they gave great portions. We did not dine in. We picked up, and everyone was very courteous. The chicken flautuas were.
We stopped here after Steel City Con. The table side guacamole was very tasty. For my main dish, I went with the Supreme Enchiladas. They were very good.
Food is consistently terrific. I especially enjoy the spicy sour and salty gree. Tomatillo sauce. Good vegetarian options.
The steak tacos are amazing, along with the salsa! I went in for take-out and they were fast, thanks!
I had their 2 quesadillas and rice, this time I went there. Any time I'm in Monroeville (which is usually for the Steel City Con), I always stop there on my way back out of town and the food is always delicious! They give you more than enough to enjoy there and leftovers for the next day. Good bang for your buck!
This is the best Mexican restaurant option in Monroeville! The food is consistently good, reasonably priced, and we've always had great service whether dining in or picking up takeout. There's rarely a wait because they're so efficient but it doesn't mean their menu is lacking! There are tons of specials and classic lunch/dinner combos so there's something for everyone, plus a kid's menu is available.
I have tried almost everything on the menu. It is definitely my favorite mexican restaurant in Pittsburgh.
If you’re in Wilkins/Monroeville on a cold winter’s day, order the chicken tortilla soup off of the street menu. It’s warm, delicious, topped with sliced avocado and tortilla strips. Homemade love in a bowl. Bring your appetite. Try the street corn. And if you’re vegetarian, the potato stuffed poblanos hit the spot.
We returned a few times and are lowering our star rating to 3* from 5. Food and service was just okay on subsequent visits. Food lacked flavor. The original on the rocks margaritas tasted salty even though they weren't rimmed with salt. We'll not go back.
