Rice & Noodles Restaurant reviews
15Wait time was about 15 mins for a walk-in order of 2 Banh Mi and a drink. Service was great, and the food was good. Its not the best banh mi I've had but it definitely satisfied the craving.
New favorite place. Highly recommend the icy lime drink, vermicelli bowl, spring rolls and sticky rice (CM7). All were phenomenal. Presented beautifully. Was so satisfying and tasty.
We had the Pho last night and the broth was terrible. It had no flavor. Pho broth is supposed to be rich and this tasted like water. We also got a stir fry dish that was terrible. It is cheap for a reason and I would not recommend. I would recommend Siagon cafe on manheim pike.
Rice & Noodles is one of my favorite restaurants in Lancaster - I’ve been going for about a decade and I almost always order the CM 7. Xoi Ga Lap Xuong. It is so good and I can’t find it anywhere else! I hope it stays on the menu forever. The spring rolls and soups are also fantastic! Looking forward to the next visit!
Hands down my favorite restaurant in the area. I love the fried egg roll and the vermicelli salad bowl with chicken.
Converted to just doing takeout which is nice because it is a very small location (the other location in the city has sit down options). Very good food.
This is my go to place for PHO. No joke the best in the area. The takeout is packed perfectly so even if you can't dine in, get your pho to go and it'll be just as good at home.
Wonderful soup and sandwiches at extremely affordable prices. The staff is sorry friendly and helpful (and patient with noobs like us ;)
R&N is THE best Vietnamese Food I've ever tasted.
It's a very convenient business model with the online ordering & curbside pickup. With most other pho places- it's just a huge hassle getting your order, with walking in & calling your order over the phone.
With R&N, not only is it super easy to order, their pho broth is just incredible. Light in color, packed with flavors & sweet aromas. With some other local places; their broth just come out murky, dark, overpowering, & even inconsistent at times.
R&N however, knows the secret to a fragrant & tasty pho. They most likely do not do a lot of stirring in their kettles (which can destroy the quality of the broth). They focus on just letting the quality ingredients release their good flavors!
I do miss their larger sized pho option, though (as well as the larger sized spring roll order) - that would be my only con, because now you have to order x2 of their only size & it can get pricey. But otherwise, I'd say it's worth it since the trade-off seems to be it's grown more convenient.
I would highly recommend this place.
We have been eating here since our kids were young so at least 13 years. Wonderful family owned restaurant with fresh delicious food. Try it!
Takeout was quick and easy, food was ready on time. The food was delicious and there was so much of it. I was surprised at how large the serving size was.
Did a takeout order for Pho Ga, got less than half a container of broth. So, I called and spoke to the guy who answers the phone who told me its 16 oz of broth. I told him it was less than that and was barely enough for one person. I tried to explain that I order this all the time and that it is far less than normal. He just laughed at me and told me that's his policy. So, after I hung up, I took out a measuring cup and poured the soup out. It was 10 OZ. Clearly not the 16OZ he claims he gave me, and no nothing had spilled in travel, it was intact and secure. The most disappointing part is not only did he not take any responsibility or apologize, but he was also just laughing about it. Today with all the struggles that business owners face it’s nice to know that you can afford to not fix the mistake and treat your regular customers so poorly. So, if you want half of the order you pay for, this is your place.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Lancaster! I get food here at least twice when I come home to visit from West Chester. Their egg rolls and spring rolls are out of this world, their soups are delicious, and everything else is so good too (especially the banh mi sandwiches)! I wish I could bring Rice and Noodles back to West Chester with me, it is to die for!
Second time giving this local favorite a try, and sadly it’s been very bland both times. Not sure what I’m missing. This time I tried the fried rice with tofu and it was by far the worst tofu I’ve ever had. Dry, rubbery, flavorless, gross. Did not seem freshly made.
