Great atmosphere and food, but hate the hand held payment method. What a horrible way to end your nice dinner when someone hands you a little machine and you’re forced to stop your conversation and immediately address the bill and decide on an appropriate tip in seconds while the waiter hovers over you and stares at your decision. Who does this benefit? Just print the receipt and let me fill it out and sign at my leisure when an appropriate break in conversation occurs. Please consider at least providing an alternative option to this.

Very modern updated decor to look old in some places. I'm not sure how.old.the original building was buts its very large now with indoor and outdoor seating. I had the burger with the potato pancake on it. Very large burger

Great place to meet friends, have a cocktail. Great menu options. Service was ok. Waiter had better things to do, apparently, for chit chat.

The Rising Sun is one of the best restaurant/bars in the area. Great service, great food, and great atmosphere. They also have one of the best happy hours around. They are continuously improving their restaurant and just recently opened an outdoor dining/bar area. This should be a regular spot for you.

The food was excellent, as was the service. The only thing, music, is definitely too loud for the dining area. Absolutely will be going back if just for the nachos.

Ok. So. It's been awhile since I rated anything but the rising sun is definitely the place to go to. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is very nice. It's quaint and cozy. And the food, omg. Just absolutely delicious. I got the salmon, bokchoy, broccoli and ginger. He got 5 cheese pasta with chicken and for dessert we split a peanut butter pie. All was to die for. Definitely deserves more then a 5 star but thats all I could do. And it is a bit pricey but totally worth it.

Awesome food, sausage gravy and biscuits were delicious. Service was good as well. Got a seat right away. All the ppl seemed very nice.

I was impressed by how quickly we got in and got taken care of. Our food was on the table in no time and it was delicious. There were 5 in our group and everyone was pleased!

I went by myself and sat at the bar. One of the bartenders said to the other "Cat at the bar" which seemed odd. I waited quite a while til someone asked for my drink which they didn't have (Blue moon beer)
And was given 2 menus.
It was quite a while til someone else asked for my order. I asked about the 2 menus and ordered stuffed salmon. The food was dry but noone asked.
Or spoke to me at all. Waited and waited to get a box and bill.
Last time I was with friends and we were disappointed with menu selections. Although the options are much better I don't believe I will bring my friends back. Strange thing was employees were everywhere and very social with each other. Glad I was alone when I gave the place a second chance. Sad cause the place is so close.

Great happy hour (4-6PM) with a good selection of Cocktails, beers and appetizers. Food was also great.
Beautiful outdoor area but inside us just as nice.

The food was fresh, unique, and flavorful. The restaurant was clean with a beautifully rustic and elegant presence. Our server was attentive and kind. My friends and I loved gathering for lunch at the Rising Sun! I'd suggest trying a side of fries.

Very Nice.all the way around. When in the area I will stop again. Fri, Sat, andSun.they serve breakfast.

Place is amazing. The atmosphere is fantastic. Food was really good. Service not so great. Waited almost 20 minutes at least from the time I got my drink at the bar until we requested from the bartender asking if we may order some food. We were never checked on.kind of wishing we would have waited to be seated for the outside dining which looked really nice rather than sitting at the bar right away.

Food was great had the French Dip and Crispy Brussels sprouts and both were phenomenal. Also the playlist was on point!

What a beautiful establishment. The interior has a cozy feel to it with the unique lighting fixtures and brick and mountain stone walls. The service was quick and the server was fun in her interactions with us.
I had the grilled salmon with bok choy, broccolini and pickled ginger. It was fantastic. We also had the pulled chicken nachos, the serving was enough for 4 people easily, and bang bang cauliflower. They also have outdoor seating that is beautifully laid out and spacious. An absolutely wonderful experience.

We try to eat here every time we're in Hershey. The food is always on point: flavorful, big portions, fun inventive flavors. It never disappoints.

I plan on being honest. I went to this restaurant with my husband on a date night. I was looking forward to going as I have seen this place very busy when I would drive by. I love the atmosphere of this place. You have an area where the bar is located along with tv's to enjoy sports. They also have an area inside where you have no tv's if you prefer. They also have some additional seating outside, which we didn't take due to the warm weather. We ordered a pretzel braid with cheese sauce for an appetizer, and it was amazing. My husband ordered a burger, which he enjoyed. I ordered a salmon special. My mashed potatoes were salty. The salmon was bland. I spoke to the manager to learn the potatoes are ordered in already made. They also don't do seasoning due to the difference of preference by each customer, which made sense, so next time, I will ask for salt and pepper. The manager did give us a free dessert, which was a cheesecake. We both enjoyed the cheesecake. We left understanding the seasoning issue, and we look forward to returning to try a different menu item and enjoy a pleasant meal and atmosphere on our date night.

Love the new patio. Great music, food and service. Can't go wrong by choosing to dine here!

Had an awesome waiter and the food was fantastic. Brought our pup along and had a great time outside!
