We have stayed for five days at this property. Being a luxury/ pleasure traveler, I expected good service, we received the opposite. This place charges the prices of a Four Seasons with service from management of that of a corner motel.

My wife and stayed for 5 days, the general service was good (not bad). We went to check out today morning, we were charged $560 above our usage (ie fraudulent charge). We were double charged for all of our food/beverages. We showed the front desk the issue, they tried heir best to fix the issues. An hour at the front desk, and a couple of calls later they did figure everything out. We had to walk them through the problem, fix their lack of refund multiple times. Clearly they did not understand how to fix an overage of a half a grand and were baffled and clueless.

Our first interaction was with their food and beverage manager, who stated they are aware of the issue. (Clearly aware but did not correct it causing us to be overcharged by half a grand). No empathy, understanding etc

Later after I received a call from the GM. The general manager later on the phone, clearly epitomize all that is wrong with the establishment. The half of a grand over charge was followed up by excuses, corporate lingo “apology”, lack of empathy and more excuses. I was told by the GM, they “would have caught the mistake” had we not caught it. (Ironic since the overcharge was caught by us and they still do not have a full grasp of the problem) The manager led with excuses, did not understand what the issue was, did not know we were overcharged and ended the conversation with excuses. Each team blamed the other team and computer glitches etc. Being over charge by half a grand and then given excuses is exactly what I would not expect from the GM. Clearly her attitude and demeanor is passed on to her direct reports, who have the same lingo and excuses. The lack of a sincere apology, fix and empathy is exactly what was lacking.

The hotel looks great, service is ok, management (GM and below) is awful, and it really speaks to a sad ending to a possibly good stay. The location, ambiance is beautiful - but the price definitely is not justified for such low rate management. The hotel is new so it looks great but the walls are thin, can hear everything - its all smoke and mirrors. Looks great, is awful

I would caution anyone who would want to stay at this establishment, I do not usually write reviews unless the service is extremely above par or below. Unfortunately this establishment takes the latter.

Watch for the $20 valet parking — they only reduce it to $5 if you are an early bird and eating of course. Food was good, but very pricey for what was served. We ate at 3.45 pm so it was the lunch menu - dinner starts at 5pm. The outdoor area was nice, a fire not yet working would have been great, but outdoor ceiling heaters kept off the chill. There was limited indoor dining - love the decor very modern and contemporary - and a baby grand piano! The bathroom had issues, soap dispensers were not electric, and the paper for drying hands was over flowing into small baskets under the counter - otherwise nicely decorated. The rooms here - 36 I believe in total are about $400 per night, so pricey for New Hope - the service was good, and the restaurant manager attentive - we never had to look for assitance. All in all a pleasant experience, felt safe — just need a better lunch menu.

Delicious food. Beautiful decor! Our server, Kelley, was amazing.gave us great recommendations. Drinks were great too. Can't wait to get back when the sun is up to enjoy those views!

The hot chocolate bar is to die for. You can tell the French onion soup is made to order, the toast under the cheese was still crispy when it arrived at our table. The pasta is delicious if you’re a fan of cheesy pasta. My husband had the steak and said it was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We also ordered the Brussels sprout bacon flatbread, which was my favorite item we ordered. No picture since we ate it so fast. Service was great. Highly recommend.

Trying this new place on the map. The facility was stunning, with both outdoor and indoor seating. The drinks and food were great, we both got the short rib sandwich. It was tough to eat gracefully but well worth the effort. The flavor of the truffle fries had a good balance and well seasoned.

Parking earlier in the day got us a savings on valet, which they did not validate, they simply charged along with our meal. I would do my best to park before arriving as $20 for dinner parking seems high for the area.

Came here for dinner and had a great experience! The mezze starter was especially delicious. Our server Ambar made the night though, he really made it worth it with his service and hospitality- he even showed us around the restaurant.

Nice atmosphere, but very disappointed in service. Even with a light crowd due to weather, it felt very rushed. As an example, two bites into the salad the main course arrived which forced us to rush. Once the salad was cleared the server kept coming over trying to clear the main course even though we were clearly still working on it. This push to flip the table, even with no one waiting, was totally unnecessary and ruined an otherwise decent meal.

The atmosphere was Incredible. The food was terrible. Apps were so/so. Mushroom bisque was not what we expected, more like a mushroom puree. My steak and everyones main course were room temp at best. The food must of sat for awhile. Disappointing for the price. I probably should have said something instead of eating a cold dinner but it was so busy and we would have had to wait even longer.

We had an absolutely perfect overnight stay at River House to celebrate my husband’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The hospitality was excellent (Including Matthew at check-in, the valet drivers, and all of the staff at Odette’s) — everyone was genuinely nice and super helpful. The decor was gorgeous and the space was kept immaculately clean. Our room (a river-view king with balcony) was literal perfection, and the bedding was so comfortable and cozy. We had dinner and brunch at Odette’s and every bite of food was delicious. This was quite honestly one of the best hotel experiences my husband and I have ever had. We can’t wait to come back for another overnight or weekend getaway! River House is definitely a gem in the adorable town of New Hope.

Unfortunately this place was a bust. I’ve only heard stories of the original Odettes, an intimate cozy 60s dream, this place was exactly opposite - a modern catering hall. We only went because of the exciting exterior and river views, from the online menu- you can see that every meal option is lackluster at best, and the cocktail/wine prices are an absolute joke. I was hoping for fresh and well seasoned classics, but my dinner entree (the gigli pasta) was a sad, at best- nursing home/cruise ship quality dish, with a very blah flavor and a sprinkle of barely baked panko crust greasy topping. My partner ordered the burger for $22 - it was fine- but when is a burger really “bad”. We opted out of consuming said joke price alcohol, and so glad we did. $20 for valet is heinous considering the wedding venue environment and the mediocre overpriced food. Would love to see a new menu/chef from this place and some exciting live music.until then, won’t be back or recommending.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. My partner and I live in Philadelphia and have been to Odette's several times for both lunch and dinner, and most recently, have stayed over in a gorgeous riverfront suite.

From the minute you arrive the valets are already showcasing the first class hospitality that one would expect from a place like this. The front desk staff, along with the concierge, make sure that your stay is all that you want it to be. Reservations for Odette's and ROOF were quickly made for us, and upon entering our room, we were greeted by freshly baked chocolate chip cookies to help us celebrate our anniversary. Lunch at Odette's was delicious as always, and with an amazing staff. Drinks at ROOF quickly turned into dinner at ROOF where the staff made us feel like we were right at home. The cozy (clean) blankets outside by the fire were also a fabulous touch, and added to the coziness of our entire evening.

As for the room, it was everything we imagined and then some. Everything from the artwork, the furniture, the blankets & pillows are so thoughtfully chosen and designed. It's the perfect spot to provide some respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.

A quick example of the first class hospitality you will experience here: when we were checking out, I apparently left my coffee on the front desk counter. We were in the car ready to pull away from the hotel when all of the sudden one of the front desk employee's appeared with my coffee in hand. Unfortunately, i cannot recall her name, but she was the best!

Like I've already said, I cannot say enough good things about River House at Odette's. If you're thinking about dining or staying here, do yourself a favor and book it.

My husband and I went to Odette's for our 25th wedding anniversary since we had our wedding reception at the original Odette's in 1995. We we very excited to have the opportunity to return. And the new incarnation was only open a short time, so our timing was perfect.

The facility is impeccable! They have done an amazing job of lovingly restoring the space into something that is a mix of old charm and modern elegance. The staff was also professional and friendly. We felt very welcome. And since we returned in early fall, the balcony dining area was Covid safe and comfortable with a lovely view of the river.

We selected the chilled seafood platter to start. And at $48, our expectations were high. Unfortunately, it did not deliver. The serving was meager, the seafood was recently defrosted and watery, and the presentation was akin to something you would receive at a diner; a large oval plate with fish placed, (not arranged) unceremoniously with no garnish other than a wedge of lemon.

For our entrées, my husband had the NY strip and I had the scallops. Both were cooked appropriately, but without imagination. The presentations were disappointing and the overall dishes were uninspired and lackluster.
And again, considering the price point for the meal, our expectations were high.

I am leaving these comments because I really do want Odette's to succeed. And I am hoping that they will use my feedback to make improvements where needed. I fully believe that this new Odette's can be a top rate destination in New Hope. But they will have to significantly up their dining game in order to be in that league. Good luck!

Wish I could give 10 stars. Place is amazing. Beautiful and romantic. The roof is awesome the dining room is awesome and the food is to die for. The Cosmos are amazing. The stuff is wonderful. Love Karen and Madison. The rooms are so comfortable and looking out over the river is just stunning. This place is going to help all the small businesses in New Hope because when people come to stay they will wonder down into the beautiful town of New Hope and shop and eat and drink. This is a stunning and beautiful place and if I could get married all over again I would do it here. Can't wait to spend our anniversary there in a few weeks.

My husband and I did an overnight at the River House for New Year's Eve. We live close by but thought it would be fun to get out of the house to ring in 2021. We ate a late lunch at Odette's (outdoor dining). This is their first floor restaurant. It was well heated and more comfortable than we expected given it was 12/31. The lobster rolls and cocktails were excellent. The view of the Delaware River spectacular with easy access to the towpath for walks or biking (which we did not do given the weather and our short stay but hopefully next time). Staff (Sean, Matthew, and Beth) were friendly, accommodating and very professional. We decided to have room service for dinner and breakfast. Our room had a balcony and view of the river. It was nice hearing the sounds of the river. We did check out the rooftop outdoor dining area; it was a unique space. We will return for meals as well as another special occasion stay. Looking forward to the piano bar opening post-Covid. This newly constructed building is lovely. This is a special place.
