Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg reviews
6I have been a Catholic Charities employee twice and a volunteer in between, working with refugees and immigrants. In my second role, I drove around to students’ homes and gave individualized ESL lessons. In October at my exit interview, I submitted my last two mileage expense reports as well as one for April that had been “lost” more than once. These were also “lost, ” so I resubmitted them in November, and in December they still hadn’t been paid so I inquired again, only to be informed that “they were filled out incorrectly and from last fiscal year, ” so they would NOT be paid. What is most outrageous about this is that there was so much time in which they could have been “fixed” had they been attended to. I plan to file every possible grievance with legal and regulatory bodies because I know I am not the only one.
I had to attend a training course for something at my church. It was a Saturday, so perhaps not typical. Staff present were all very helpful and hospitable. I thought the cathedral was going to be there, so I was disappointed. But, that's my misunderstanding.
Not the type of business that gets rated, I don't think, but since you asked. This is a very warm and welcoming place. The woman at the front desk is eager to assist visitors and has a great friendly smile. The other staff members I met were also very nice.
What the diocese did to Lebanon Catholic is a disgrace to our religion and christianity.the school enrollment was up for the fall, they were ending in the black under direction of new principal. Because of the diocese's misuse of funds and other situations, the children take the brunt of their behavior.where do you think you will get your future priests and congregations from without support of future generations.not to mention a group offered the diocese to buy and they held out for a bit more money so they could sell to an investor and destroy the building and the legacy.sad! They don't even deserve 1 star!
So shameful you declare bankruptcy! May God have mercy on your souls; you’ll need it!
