This place is a gem! Their churro french toast was to die for and I love how they cut their bacon it's a little thicker than normal and it's soo good!

Service and food were great. A little pricey but worth it. A lot more LGBT friendly than we expected lol.

Don't support this business. They think that Drag Story Time is a family friendly affair. Utterly disgusting!

Very nice place for breakfast. Serving portions are on the large side, and I needed to take some to go.
Prices are fair.

The menu has changed since the first time we had breakfast at ROOST. My meal today didn't measure up to the experience we've had there before.

The breakfast sandwich came on a sesame hamburger bun rather than the brioche roll described on the menu. The hashbrowns were served lukewarm.

All the way from the hostess to our waitress was very friendly. Food was excellent. Will be making another trip to see them.

Great food, fun decor, excellent service! We came in for brunch on a Thursday, lots of options and most items have a vegetarian substitute for the protein. We shared the Avocado Toast as an appetizer which was excellent and we also had the flavored coffees, Honey Lavender and a Cinnamon Toast Crunch. For the entree we had the Southern Charm Benedict that included fried green tomatoes and the Closed on Sundays Benedict, both were amazing!

A wonderful place to enjoy breakfast either out side or inside. The food is always fresh and well repaired. Waitstaff is friendly and efficient. It is must visit dinning in York

Exceptional food! The management really cares about their customers and pulls out all the stops to ensure that their customers have a wonderful experience.always. The menu is way cool and creative, so if you're a foodie, you're gonna love this gem of a restaurant.

Ist time. Weather gorgeous so ate outside. If you can't tolerate the occasional motorcycle, firetruck etc I would not recommend. Inside was bright and spotless so also good option. Wait staff could not have been more pleasant & helpful. Food was excellent. Also serve alcohol. Awesome!

First time coming to ROOST for breakfast/brunch, and we’ll 100% be back! Our host and server were so sweet, kind, and attentive. The menu had so many great options- classic breakfast and more creative choices. We ordered the honey lavender coffee to start, and also to go because they were so delicious! The apricot Bellini was tasty and a great size. I’m giving a 4.5 only because my sausage patty was too burnt to eat, besides that the food was wonderful.

Very good spot for breakfast! This was my first time here and definitely not my last. Waffle and bacon were very good, yogurt bowl was a little too plain. Service was great!

Fun little brunch place with some pretty heavy portion of food. Good service and nice atmosphere overall. However, they get a 3 star for food.

If you look at the pictures of the food, it seems like a lot, but the truth is that most of it is fillers like bread/toast/muffins. I ordered the chimichurri brisket and there wasn't much meat on there. It was mostly muffins that were soaked and covered with other sauces or ingredients. The same applied to the flower pot which was mostly biscuits and lack cauliflower.

Overall it's an okay joint. Great atmosphere and service but unsure about the food.

Nice little bar/cafe with really good pizza & coffee. Service was friendly and prompt, and they have a jukebox. We were kind of in a rush, but you can pay by scanning the QR code on the receipt and bounce.

We went here for brunch and had a great experience. The staff were so friendly, and the food was delicious. Lots of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options, along with a great variety of sweet and savory brunch options. We ordered the cannoli French toast and the breakfast tacos, and were so pleased with both! Definitely worth stopping in and having repeat visits.

Great breakfast. Coffee is some of the best in York.

It is a shame that restaurants feel the need to make cultural statements that disenfranchise most of their customers. A hostess who is a man dressed in a skin tight dress is not appropriate. Period! We will never eat there again.

Probably the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. We were seated relatively quickly, and that was the only positive part. Our server pretty much ignored us for about 15 minutes. Once she actually took our drink orders, my specialty coffee came out about an inch below the top (very small cup, expensive coffee, so that inch matters), while the other two specialty coffees were literally overflowing. I asked if I could get the coffee topped off. I got tired of waiting, so I drank the coffee anyway. No sooner than I was finished, and about the 5th time she walked by, she poured black coffee in my little coffee cup. We placed our food order before the coffee came out, and I asked about my son's lemonade, which was ordered with the coffees. Two tables were sat about 15 mins after we placed our food order. Both tables had their food, long before we did. We waited about an hour for our food. Once it was brought out, it was barely Luke warm. Waters were empty, but not refilled. We were done eating, and I asked again about my son's lemonade. When it was brought out, in an adult dine in cup (he's 5, and we were very obviously finished), the check soon followed. Despite the horrible service, the entire time, I made sure to be courteous to the server, please, thank you, ma'am, ect.she didn't outright say "I don't like you". But that's certainly how it felt. Food was good, so the cooks did their job well, but expensive. Never again.

Edited to say: Thanks to Jordan for the prompt concern and high level of customer service after the fact. Sometimes issues happen, and although the initial experience was disappointing, it's nice to know that they truly care about the customers!

Original Post: Went for Father’s Day. Incredibly slow service and mediocre food. Took about 75 mins from being seated to entrees finally served. When it finally came some of the dishes were cold. Brisket Benedict wasn’t brisket, it was unflavored pot roast. Shrimp and grits puppies was basically a shrimp and grits flavored hushpuppy - aka no shrimp and no grits. Honey and milk biscuits were over cooked and dry. French toast seemed to be the only thing our table of 6 enjoyed.

Disappointing experience that put a damper on a Father’s Day surprise visit.

Waitress Brittany added tip to the check without telling me, which was more than 20% and on top of that we left her a good tip on the table not knowing that she already charged it to the check. Food was not great.

Came to the Roost for brunch today, the garbage biscuit was FANTASTIC, the chicken and waffles were probably the best I’ve ever had, and Christina gave us amazing service. Even gave some sweet treats to my 3 year old after eating. Will be frequenting this place as often as possible in the future.
