Rose Bank Winery, Newtown PA

Bought a Chardonnay and it was terrible! I’m not really picky about wine either. I’ll drink pretty much anything but this went right down the drain after two sips. It was like watered down vodka. Extremely disappointing.

I was extremely unhappy with booking the Rosebank Winery for my wedding venue. And if I knew how this place was going to forcibly change my contract I would never have booked with them. I will never be recommend this location for a wedding venue. While spending over 10 thousand dollars at this facility, here is how my experience went.

I booked the Rose Ballroom in 2020 for my wedding reception October 2022. I also booked their downstairs wine cellar for the cocktail hour (which included the use of the patio and grass area for a larger croud).

In between signing my contract/leaving a 50% deposit.all the way up to the actual date of my wedding, The Rosebank Winery breached my contract in many ways. I randomly and abruptly received an email of "Rosebank Winerys 2022 Wedding Venue Changes. "

This includes moving their wine store into the downstairs wine cellar, leaving me unable to use that for my cocktail hour. They said my only choice is to use the pervious wine store up stairs/ next to the Roseball Room, as my cocktail hour. Yet it will not hold all the 180 people I had invited and was stated on my contract. When I asked them what other accommodations can they make for my cocktail hour, I was told "Im not too sure what to tell you".
I had no choice but to use the smaller upstairs room now called Buckman Barn for my cocktail hour.
While meeting with the owner - Bev, the old wedding coordinator - Peter, and their new coordinator - Roberta, numerous times I was left dumbfounded with how much they were attempting to take advantage of my wedding with their new changes.

Another change I was expected to use was their new drink package - which is outrageously over priced for a horrible selection of alcohol. (Many of their "preferred vendors" agree). If not, I was expected to pay a service charge for bringing in my own alcohol. Even though my original contract signed 2020 stated that I was bringing my own alcohol at no charge, and buying my wine through them (with a standard side note that if I purchase a certain amount of wine I would get a 10% discount). I was expected to use their bartenders at an additional cost, even though that also was not in my contract. And when I brought all this up to Beverly her response was "We are going to waive those fees as I'm bending over backwards for you" and another comment "I'm going to take 10% off the wine cost as a favor"

I feel as though the Rosebank Winery made changes to their facility without taking any consideration to the contracts that they had already accepted money for. Along the way they expected me to abide by their new rules and pay for more additional services that they now offer. It was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

Your wedding day is supposed to be a magical day that you remember for the rest of your life. I will always remember my experience with the Rosebank and will never recommend anyone to go through what I went through. For any new Brides who have yet to have their wedding there or plan on using this venue in the future please read your contract thoroughly do not let them attempt to take advantage of you because they will try and you have the right to your contract.

What a wonderful place to visit! We attended a wedding and reception there today, and we're very impressed with everything! Great venue, staff and wines made the day exceptional!

Couldn't recommend this place more if I tried! I took my fiancée here for her birthday and we both absolutely loved it! I'm not a wine drinker at all and I enjoyed every wine recommended. Amanda who works there was so knowledgeable on the wines and super friendly. The atmosphere was also great. We sat outdoors on a nice day and enjoyed a wine tasting and a cheese plate. If you're looking for a nice afternoon getaway, I highly recommend Rose Bank Winery!

Place was wonderful, was there for a wedding reception for the Appletons. Service and food excellent. Place and grounds beautiful. Kudos to the owners.

Experienced horrible customer service when looking at venues here. Owner has no patience and did not direct me to wedding coordinator when I sensed he was losing patience, like I asked. Wedding coordinator finally did call back. 2 weeks later. Missed her and spoke to someone else. Clearly asked this person for email confirmation of appointment.never received it.

Beautiful setting. Delicious wines. Beautiful day. Attentive staff. What more could you ask for?

It was very nice. We went there for an event. It was called Bridal Wars, we had to compete against other bridal parties. We had a blast! Lots of fun and drinking wine.

This review is way overdue! The Rose Bank Winery and their staff were so nice and super helpful in a chaotic time for me, my husband, and our families. Our original wedding venue canceled on us with just a week to go before our date, with no warning. Luckily, the Rose Bank Winery was understanding and able to accommodate us and all of our guests with such little notice. The staff was very friendly and patient with us as we were scrambling to pull it all together in a few days. We were given such a nice tour of the whole winery and even ended it with a complimentary wine tasting as we signed the contract and booked our date. The venue is absolutely beautiful with a few different reception rooms to choose from and a couple pretty outside areas to have the ceremony. We ended up with the best weather we could have asked for and had a beautiful September wedding! I would 100% recommend The Rose Bank Winery to any couple planning their big day. What started as a nightmare situation ended with the perfect day! I guess everything really does happen for a reason!

Best winery super affordable and the staff has amazing reccomdations. I reccomdation the cheese platter and the dessert wines.

My friend and I had a blast here with our tasting and cheese board. Beautiful grounds even have goats! The staff was lovely with great knowledge and personalities

This is a really lovely winery. Beautiful property with spacious oudoor and indoor seating.
The wines are tastey (I'm no wine expert, but I enjoyed what I tried)
They have some light snacks available, and on weekends might have a food truck on site.
Also has space for weddings and other functions.
I will definitely be returning here!

Excellent place to unwind and enjoy your day. Music was nice, Steve's steak was awesome and the wine slushies are addictive. Ask for Matt he serves with a smile.

Very friendly staff, wide variety of good wines (and a couple not so good ones; but that's what a tasting is for!)

Went for a wedding. The hall we were in was very nice. Grounds were pretty. Their red wines were delicious. The food was mostly good.

A local hometown favorite. The service here is always great, they have a tasting option where you can try 6 samples before buying a bottle. A great place to visit!

The winery is in Newtown the place was amazing the atmosphere where is the beautiful place inside and out at the Rose Bank Winery it look like an old barn scene.
