If I could give 0 stars, I would. Before hiring Rotelle to build my home I needed to make sure that they had experience with building handicap accessible homes. The assured me they did and that my lot would allow for a HC accessible walkway in the front and the back of the home and my contract was priced accordingly. Days before settlement, I was told the they couldn't provide a front HC walkway, as the grade was too steep. This forced me to independently have a custom platform lift installed (an additional $29,000 out of pocket) so my daughter could use the main living floor. And the back ramp they installed didn't have any curbing or railing. When I voiced my concern about my daughters wheelchair rolling right off the side of the ramp, I was then charged an additional $2,000 for railing although the ramp was in my original contract. Also during my walk through I found that the slope in front of my outside air conditioning unit was very steep causing rainwater to run into the unit with each storm. I was promised this would be fixed with final grading. The final grading did not decrease the slope and Rotelle's fix was to put a brick under each corner raising the unit by 4 inches. This wasn't enough as the grade is close to 6 feet. Water continues to run into the unit and Rotelle refuses to raise the unit. Lastly, as my home has 3 floors of living I was promised no more than a 5 degree difference between the top and bottom floor. From the beginning I was noticing a 10-13 degree difference. Rotelle had their vendor out to my home on a few occasions and their only recommendation was to close a few registers to force more air to the top floor. When I told them that this didn't work, their next suggestion was to lower my indoor temperature to hopefully compensate. When this also didn't work I was told to wait until the spring/summer and see if the air was more evenly dispersed. I followed their lead and in the beginning of June I contacted both Rotelle and the vendor to tell them there is now a 10-15% degree difference between the top and bottom floors. I was then contacted by Jesse at Rotelle and told that my warranty had ended and they would not do anything to fix the problem. I advised that all of these issues were problems reported within a month of settlement. Moral of the story. Do not trust this builder! They will take your money, but not follow through on any of their promises and rip you off every chance they can!
