Roxbury Bandshell reviews
3Johnstown needs to be proud to have the last surviving bandshell and that dedicated volunteers work diligently on its upkeep. It is awesome to be abke to go and relax and listen to the free concerts. It is amazing to see all ages there enjoying the music. Johnstown is blessed to have such a variety of bands who donate their time for our entertainment.
I lost interest in the historical landmark right after they put that God forsaken rollerblade hockey rink right on the front lawn of the poor place. C'mon people it's like drinking orange juice and milk equal parts in the same glass. A total clash of generations, of yeah and a total waste of space. I feel like it was vandalized, besides they don't even use the rink. Get rid of it and put some perm.seating in there then you could sell the seats to earn better $ for your "proceeds. But the actual structure is pretty damn cool, no doubt, and the acoustics resonate very nice, unless your stuck in the hockey rink. Lol
The free concert series in the summer is great! Love to see a historic building actually being used and not just "preserved to look at" because it's historical.
