Roxy Theatre reviews
18Great old-fashioned theater with a nice big screen. Affordable prices for tickets and snacks.
Iove this theater I love seeing movies here it is a nice old theater and that is what I like about it
Fantastic event. Marvelous performance of a Billy Joel tribute band. The Roxy reminded me of the theaters of my youth. All was perfect, except for the treacherous trek to the rest rooms. Steep stairs and wobbly handrail. But beside that, the night was wonderful.
Beautiful old theater that plays some of the biggest movies out there. All for the price of $3. The only catch is that the movies aren't in bigger theaters anymore. If you don't mind waiting to see a blockbuster or just don't have the cash for a $12 movie ticket, Roxy is the way to go.
Edit: Prices for tickets are now $4, which is still way cheaper than the regular theaters.
December 2022 - My niece's dance studio had a small show there for Christmas, and there aren't enough words to say how beautifully decorated the Roxy was. The decorations may have been "simple" to others, but I loved the homey and warm feeling it gave the theater. When they reopen around the holidays, it's a must-see.
Old time movie theater, beautifully restored! Owned and operated by a passionate family of movie buffs. They offer inexpensive tickets and refreshments. It also has an organ from back in the pre talkie days, and they occasionally host live events. A beautiful piece of history!
They might not have a lot of food options but they have the funniest first short films and the best popcorn and treats are just awesome it was my first time being in there and I loved every second of it
Good prices beautiful theater but the curator is to dictative about where to stand and telling you what to do makes it uncomfortable
Beautiful Theater!
Everyone should visit and experience how a movie should be presented!
This inside of the theater is stunningly beautiful! It's a great place to catch a movie especially for families since ticket prices (and even everything at the snack bar) are cheap! Also, you don't have to watch 20 minutes of previews before the film you only see the trailer for the next movie that is coming to the Roxy
Love, love, love this theatre.
It's always consistent in staff (Richard) along with the $3 entrance ticket price.
We enjoy the historic interior and the old style yet comfy seating.
The concession stand is truly a bargain and great for entire family entertainment without breaking the bank.
Even enjoy watching the old school commercials.
Kudos to the same owner who continues to keep this place in great shape through several decades for the public's pleasure.
Great place to see bargain priced movies in a gorgeous vintage theater. Always a joy to be inside that beautifully restored theater! Thank you!
I have been going to the Roxy Theater since I was a child. It has always been the best theater in the area. Always clean, always greeted with a smile and professionally by the owner, and I might add, the most affordable in the Valley. Mostly family -friendly films, even live shows. LOVE the Roxy Theater!
I absolutely love the roxy.the movie was great, along with the popcorn and the drink, and the vibes were absolutely immaculate.the curtains are stunning, along with the organ that's in front of the stage/screen. 15/10 would go again
What a beautiful theatre, a real icon from the past. Absolutely love going in from time to time. Only thing that needs to be addressed is the nasally voiced person yelling at kids to shut up or sit down, stop kicking the seat person, is loud and disruptive. Otherwise great! Love it!
This is one of the best old time second run theaters I have been in. Owner is the one taking tickets and always has a smile. Prices are much lower than the big theaters and it is only $3 to get in. Great art deco designs inside. Chandeliers and heavy curtains like in the old days. This is a must visit to see a movie or show.
I've been going this theater since I was 4 years old, it's a beautiful theater with cheap prices on there snacks and admission is only 3 dollars for a movie!
What an awesome time tonight with the two bands that played. My cousins band, Copper Fields was terrific as usual and the other band was a great surprise, totally enjoyed them as well. And the venue was out of this world! Beautiful theater, want to come back to see movies and bands too. It's a great experience!
I was just here tonight after work. Wanted to go all day. So happy I did even though I flew solo. I still love this old school theatre after all these years of coming here since I was little. Last time I was there was in summer of 2008 for marvel studios IRONMAN. New seats since then. Tonight I saw the highly anticipated THE BATMAN.was a 3 hour movie. Long, but very good and different from all the others. Sucked to have missed the first 15 - 17 minutes of it due to last minute things happening at work and traffic, but all good. Very friendly staff. I remember when it was only $1.50 to get it plus refreshments. Not much of increase at all. Where else can you go for that cheap yet? Not too many places. What a sweet deal still. Thanks for a fun night out tonight. # single guy Thursday / week treat for myself
