Had a appointment today for my two kittens, they called an hour before saying we can't accommodate you after waiting a couple weeks to get in, about a week ago my husband left a bad review about his service with our elderly dog now they won't see my cats because of a disagreement with my husband, I'm sure we can find better care for our fur babies. So apparently I'm guilty by association there for my kittens suffer for it.

I have been with this veterinarian for close to 30 years. I have had several dogs and a few cats.all of which have been treated there. I've spent thousands with wellness checks, vaccinations, surgeries.etc. The level of service has deteriorated since the retirement of the original owner and subsequent purchase. I had a medical emergency with my senior dog.who has been a patient since she was 6 weeks old. I was told they did not have time to see her.they were all booked up. Mind you this is an elderly hospice situation. The receptionist.who I believe was Kathy.tells me she will speak to the Dr.to see what we could do. Calls me back 1 1/2 hrs later and says they would like to try meds for pain. I drive the 20 minutes there to pick up the med. When I get there she plays stupid like she never called me. Told me I must have called someone else. No! I dialed 757- 5440. Then the incompetence came out. After demanding to speak to whoever told me to come over.she said it was her. She made a mistake and called the wrong person. Mistake!? With an elderly hospice dog? Then reiterated, they had no time to see her. Take the "Hospital, " out of your name. Hospitals are where you go for emergencies! I will take all future pets elsewhere. I will not spent another cent there. How can you turn your back on a long term.dieing patient? Edit. I see you edited your response. In all fairness I wish to edit mine, as well. Had you not done everything I stated.you would not have been spoken to rudely. Don't cloud the waters and let's keep this honest for future potential customers. I won't allow your damage control to make me out as the bad one. Compassionate and professional are admirable traits.picking and choosing when to and when not to be are not.

I love this place! The staff is great, everyone’s super sweet. They’re all helpful, explain everything throughly, and don’t judge. We’ve been back twice now with all 4 of our animals and all of them have had a great experience. We love our vet, all the vet techs are great. Their prices are a little up there sometimes, but that’s everywhere now. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone just because of the service! This is our new go to!

Prompt, polite, caring service at a reasonable price. We trailered our mustangs in, and the doctor was very good with them.

Found a fracture in her leg 4 days ago. I was told I was going to get a call back the next day with a game plan, never received a call until 5: 30pm that day. If I didn't call them halfway through the day to remind them I don't know if they would of ever called. My dog has a fracture in her leg and can't walk and they act like it's no big deal. Told me they weren't comfortable performing the surgery and then in the same breath said they would be willing to perform it. Asked for a referral to a specialty vet. Called at 8: 30am this morning, do you think I got a call back? Nope. So here I am left on my own to get my dog the care she needs. What I can gather is unless they're making money you're not a priority.

Ada visited Russell Veterinary and they are the most wonderful, caring people.
She will be going there from now on!

Staff is great I love them. Just like regular medical doctors their prices are high, but they all are anymore. They check with you before running pricey test which is good. I thought cats are cheap.they arent.
