Rybread, Philadelphia PA

I have been looking for a cupcake that comes close to Billy's Bakery in NY (it's just my favorite) rybread is a close second. The funfetti one was unbelievable. Also very friendly servixe! I have lived nearby for years and am kicking myself for never having walked in. Will be back. Soon.

Food was alright but really overpriced, I think asking 15 dollars for an ok tasting sandwich the size of your fist is a bit arrogant lol

Their sandwiches are great and also their selection of icecreams. AI had not luck yet with any of their muffins, or are absolutely dry or are raw. I will keep getting sandwiches.

A great place to grab a sandwich, get a coffee and do some work, or meet up with friends over lunch! They do have pretty good gluten-free bread available for the sandwiches upon request. They also have pastries, bagels, and salads, but I definitely think the draw is the sandwiches! Great portion size for the price and convenient location!

I got the Kingston - it is difficult to imagine that jerk chicken, carrots and grilled pineapple go together, but they do and the sandwich tastes absolutely amazing!

Their sandwiches are pretty decent! We have tried a few and all have been good. Only feedback is with pesto and prosciutto it gets a bit salty. Add something more acidic to cut the saltiness.

Love this place. Staple in the neighborhood. Literally my go to sandwich spot. Smoothies and coffee are good too!

Some sandwiches are ok but not sure you can call yourself a cafe if you don’t serve espresso drinks. I don’t want to live in Fishtown/ Northern Liberties but would trade some Fairmount places in an instant.

Delicious food! Lots of options to choose from. Everything is fresh and made to order. The staff is awesome and so friendly.

Better Cold brew than any cafe in the area and the food has maintained its excellence for at least 15 years.

My only complaint: please stop taking people’s names off their credit cards. It’s pretty hard for trans folks to change their names in PA and creates a triggering situation.

First time I went for breakfast and it was just ok. $9 for a ham, egg and cheese sandwich and it wasn’t that tasty. They did have gluten free bread which I appreciated. Unfortunately they coffee options were limited bc the steamer wasn’t working, and their fridge wasn’t working either. The coffee was good, strong. They have the paper straws though which I understand are good for the environment, but by the time I got home the lid pierced through the paper so I had to change containers for the coffee. The interior was cute and welcoming. I would be willing to return but may try something different in the menu.

Very cute, quaint coffee shop with incredible food. The staff is super nice and they have something for everyone on the menu. Every time someone out of town comes to visit me I take them to Rybread the next morning. It's an incredible place.

They’re really the only game in that area. Always busy but the food is good. The bagel with lox is so awesome. It’s big enough for breakfast and lunch.

So cute, they have out door seating which is nice during the summer and on nice days (also if you have a dog). I got the Denver & it was so amazing! Not too much mayo which I prefer, they stacked it up. Their brownie was also to die for, it was very moist.

This place is awesome! Fairmount Ave needs more spots like this. It has everything you could want, convenience, walkable from my house and delicious food! Well done Rybread!

I just moved to the Fairmount area a few weeks ago, and I've already been to Rybread twice. The buffalo cauliflower is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I love that this place has so many vegetarian options. Will definitely be back here many more times!

I keep giving Rybread chances and they disappoint me almost every time. The owners are not great and mistreat their employees, which is why there is constant turnover and they are always understaffed, making service slow. Sandwiches are decent (if made well), but their breakfast sandwiches have no flavor. And now they started making people wait in one line regardless of if they are ordering in or picking up. I could literally SEE my sandwich that I already had paid for, and asked an employee if I could have it, just to be told that I had to wait in line (mind you, the line extended to the back of the store) with everyone else. It’s sad because there’s not really anywhere else nearby to grab a quick bite.
