Santucci's Original Square Pizza reviews
34Bomb pizza and laid back atmosphere. This place is decorated very simply, but with style and a dinner night out vibe to it. The pizza was filling and delicious. I usually finish a pizza, but this puppy was too much jaja. My server Claudia was super patient, attentive and helpful in providing suggestions. Only thing I was not impressed with was their fries. I thought the cheese would come on top not on the side. Overall, if you and friends need a dinner suggestion, this might be your answer!
Had meatball sandwich and chicken ceasar salad (don't judge me). Service was very attentive and food was excellent. Highly recommend this place for a business meeting (room in the back) or lunch.
Meat lovers pizza and the roasted pepper Flatbread were delicious! Our oldest really loved their boneless hot wings. The middle child had the chicken fingers and fries starter and it was huge, plentiful portions all around. Great service too, highly recommend sitting out back!
The food is fantastic however, the service is a disgrace. I received a gift card for 50 dollars which came with a 10 dollar reward, and every time I go to use the gift card it says there is a problem activating it. This has been going on since December. Every time I contact the store, which was about 3 times a month, they say the will call us back, and never do, or that they don't know. I recently got in contact with someone via email and they go days without answering me. 50 dollars going to waste and they won't do anything about it because they already have the money. They lost a very happy customer for years due to this.
Didn’t expect to love this. Crust cheese and the sauce. Very flavorful. Nice texture. Sauce is delicious! Super cravable.
Best Pizzeria I've ever been to fas as Dinero In
And definitely Top 3 in the City on Chesse Steaks
4sure HANDS DOWN
The regular pizza is just plain awful, absolutely awful. I ordered the plain pizza with pepperoni and the sauce is just so bland. No flavor at all. They are getting 2 stars because the BBQ chicken pizza was edible and decent. There is so many good pizza places in philly don’t waste your time going here.
One of my favorite pizza places in Philly. Some of the best square pies I've had. This time I tried the veggie one which was really good. This was my first time ordering wings from there and it's was pretty good. Will probably try a different sauce next time (got the Honey Chipotle).
Highly recommend and definitely want to order from here more often.
Really wasn’t impressed. We got the fried long hots app and the waiter warned us that they were really spicy, which we appreciated. When they came out, the issue wasn’t that they were too hot, but that there was really nothing else, no sauce, no real flavor, not even fried, just mushy, so a very lackluster app. The pizza and calzone were also not very flavorful. The atmosphere is pretty depressing and I was up all night with a stomachache so yeah I probably won’t be back.
Nice location and well kept. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. The pizza was a bit different than what we are accustomed to coming from NY but we expected that going in. Not only is it square but it is heavy on sauce and the sauce is the top layer, similar to Chicago style. The sauce is not thick and packs a lot of flavor. The bread and cheese kind of get lost in the sauce. We also had the chicken parm platter and everyone who tried it, raved about it. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and our experience. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
Ugh, where I should start. I guess it was take out, I guess it was not busy Sunday afternoon.but! The dough was definitely defrosted and baked as is, no flavor, weird disgusting texture and no taste at all. I live pizza, and this on was a disaster, and it’s their Speciality Margarita Pizza, how you can messed up the traditional margarita pizza? I was so excited to try famous pizza and it was the most (!) unpleasant experience, should’ve stick to our local Fishtown pizza.never again.sorry waste of money, but the mist upsetting part that you expected something tasty and got nothing.
Ya know - I've never actually had Santucci's square pizza. Or any of their pizzas. Because all of their other food is so mouth-watering delicious, I can't bring myself to order just the pizza. Last night I had this short rib and cheesey french fry appetizer concoction. Sooooo freaking good. The bar area is set up separate from the dining room, but it's a very cool and cozy place to be. Throw in the great service, and the great beer selection - definitely recommend for anybody!
Tried this place three times, but yet again there was no sauce (as seen in the attached picture) which is also flavorless and the cheese tastes chewy, cheap and bland. Disappointed and not going back. They get an extra star for good customer service though.
I’ve ordered takeout from here twice and both times weren’t great. First time had their signature square pizza, which wasn’t horrible but the sauce was super salty and the cheese wasn’t as gooey as it should have been. Second time I got a chicken parm sandwich, which didn’t have enough sauce on it and wasn’t very flavorful. The sweet potato fries that came with it were soggy and limp. Santucci’s has struck out twice for me now probably will not order again.
Most of the food was good. The roast chicken soup didn't have any chicken in it. I sent it back and the manager adjusted the bill accordingly.
The wait staff was great! Prompt service, we'll timed attentiveness.
I LOVE this pizza but I took one star away because the prices must've went up so now a large plain is now $18.30 to pick up and there's a tip jar to guilt you even more.
Pizza for pizza snobs if you like places like Duminos Or Jazza the Hut Little Shiters or Papa Mojons then this isn't the place for you but if you enjoy a good pie then give it a try and you can add another jawn to your list!
Bring cash. They don't take credit cards. And it seemed they preferred fans to the air conditioner tonight.
Atmosphere is pleasant. Food is very tasty with very quick and courteous service. A real taste of Italy right here in Philly. I've been to both locations and they are both equally as good.
Santucci’s did a fantastic job catering my 4-year-old’s birthday party today. Pizzas, the sandwich tray (chicken cutlet with broccoli di rabe, smoked turkey with b.l. A.t, and grilled chicken with b.l. T.), and the panini tray were all a huge hit. Thank you for making it so easy, and for delivering to Sister Cities Park!
