Say Cheese! Restaurant & Cheese reviews
21Super cute place with interesting menu and atmosphere, drinks, live music periodically.def a great community spot. Did I mention all the amazing cheesy dishes?
You got a hankering for mac and cheese or grilled cheese or anything with cheese? Then this is your spot. Food is consistently delicious and the seating area is large, open and inviting. They even have a wine and cheese shop next door, which I've yet to visit.
Such a great dining experience all around. Great atmosphere, food and service. On street parking can be a challenge. Otherwise, don't miss out on this restaurant. Tasty apps, soup and entrees. Don't skip the specialty cheese shop right next door. So happy we picked Say Cheese! On our visit.
Excellent! I really liked their food and the atmosphere, I will not say it wasn't good, had to wait for a little while because although the door was unlocked they had not opened yet because it was like two (2) minutes before opening time that we walked in.
Yes, we were told to wait for that reason after some time, someone else turned up and asked "how many? " And we were shown to our table,
The brussel sprout app was one of the best I have ever had! Everyone really enjoyed all of the food! Great atmosphere - highly recommend.
Love this place! The cheese curds are a must! The vibe is great and the staff is top tier thanks to Kayla the food runner. She was so attentive and made us feel welcomed. One of our new fave spots!
My husband and I used to love coming here for a date night. The past two times we went, they said they could not make any Mac n cheese (which is the entire reason we go). Today, we tried again. When we went in, the host barely looked at us and said “yes? ” When we asked for a table she looked at us in utter disgust and said curtly, “We’ll we’re trying to catch up here so it’s gonna be like 40 minutes” then walked away. We felt like such an inconvenience and couldn’t believe a host would be that rude-even if they are busy. We will not be returning.
On-line menu is out of date; service was very
slow; dinning area was very noisy. Food was
good though difficult to find low sodium items.
I drove 45 minutes to try & was not disappointed, excellent food! Have gone to other restaurants on the same street and this is by far the best. Charcuterie board to start, was blown away by the flavors and textures. Creative cocktail menu as well. Main courses were splendid, I had the Shroomin’onion burger and my boyfriend had the french steak dip sandwich. Incredible meal for an outrageously low price. It’s like fine dining but without taking a hit on your wallet. I have to mention how kind the servers & chefs are. Will be there again soon. Keep up the good work!
Say Cheese! Is not just an amazing restaurant. It was one of the catalysts that helped West Reading achieve revitalization. The restaurant is trendy and the food is delicious!
The food is amazing and the portions are big.
We had the Philly cheese grilled cheese sandwich and the regular grill cheese with bacon and tomatoes. This place is a must-try. Tomato bisque soup and Ceasar salad were also delicious.
Service was good.
One of the few places open for lunch in West Reading on Tuesday, July 5 (thank you). The food was good and presented well. The waitress was attentive. The atmosphere was open and welcoming. The AC was refreshing on this humid day.
Our first time visiting. Excellent experience! Great atmosphere, wine and food. It's cheese, what more do you need to know
The interior design of this restaurant is gorgeous. From the intricate trim details to the self propelling fans that actually use a pulley system to power one another. It was super cool. The service was great and our server was super nice, sweet, and attentive. Food for cost however was horrible and ridiculous. It's a bit difficult to give a fully detailed review, because after seeing the $9 Caesar salad I received, my boyfriend determined that he didn't want to eat here at all. The menu is anywhere from a bacon and tomato grilled cheese for $16 to various Mac and cheese dishes for an even more outrageous price. Cheese can be expensive and this is understandable so we thought maybe thats what we were paying for. Maybe potentially getting some really fancy aged for however long cheeses. However after receiving a Caesar salad, we quickly determined that you are not paying for quality at all. It was a bowl of chopped romaine hearts, obviously pre-packaged Caesar dressing, no hints of egg yolk, fish, or even unique spices to be found. With one single over toasted small slice of baguette. To top it off, it's a cheese place right? Probably some really good aged shredded parmesan sprinkled on top? Especially since it was $9? Nope, they gave me powdered crumbled parmesan, just like the cheap shake containers you get from the grocery store. Lettuce, shake cheese, store bought Caesar, and one thinly sliced over toasted piece of baguette. All in all a meal including labor that might run someone upwards of $1.50 maybe a bit more, but absolutely no where close to $9. Maybe market what kind of cheeses you're actually using before you charge someone $16 or more for a grilled cheese that just has some regular Swiss cheese on it. Seems like the owner here is just banking on wine and cheese being a wealthy person's idea of a fine meal. Which it can be if you're actually using a fine aged product. Here you get a couple pieces of lettuce and shake parmesan cheese for $9.2 beers, one really basic Caesar salad, $32 later and now weeks of me having to deal with my boyfriend making fun of me for choosing this place. Would give 0 stars, but the interior decoration was nice and so was the service. I hope the employees here are getting compensated properly for the ridiculous amount of money made for the product that is being served. Won't go back until I hit the lottery and don't care how much I spend or what I get in one sitting.
Had a quick lunch here on my boyfriends birthday a few months ago. Food was good, especially the charcuterie board. Only downside was they had a very limited drink selection, seemed to be out of most of the staples for any mixed drinks/cocktails.
Say Cheese! Is our favorite date spot in Reading. The Salmon Mac and Cheese and Garlic Bread Cheese Curds are amazing. There are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu and a wide selection of drinks. Service is always wonderful and most of the waitstaff remembers regulars.
First, the food is good, it is the first restaurant I go to and I try the mac n cheese, but the one I tried was salmon, I totally recommend it.the experience in the place was quite good and it gives you very good vibes. The food menu is not extensive, but judging based on what I ate, everything else must be very good.
We went there for my daughter's PSU graduation as a group of 10 people.
Great atmosphere! Unique selections of Mac and Cheese dishes, and tasty too!
Thank You, Say Cheese!
Amazing Mac and Cheese. Restaurant is well laid out, bright, and easy to navigate. Staff was friendly and engaged. Conveniently located as well.
First time at this restaurant. Staff was great and food was amazing! We got the cheese curds as an appetizer to split and they were so good! Also got the quesabirria sandwhich, highly recommend! We will be back!
