It was my first visit at Schoonover Eye Care and it won’t be the last. Everyone was so nice. The exam was very thorough. They explained everything. Their eyeglass selection has a wide variety of styles. I would highly recommend them!

I was very impressed with Dr. Rebecca Schoonover and her staff. The techs were very friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor gave made the most thorough eye exam and explained about my prescription and retina. She has an amazing selection of glasses and sunglasses, too!

Doc came in on her day off to see me. Thorough exam for eye discomfort. Explained my diagnosis. Staff super friendly. Was not my original eye doctor, but will be now. Definitely recommend.

Pack a lunch. It will be at least 90 minutes if not longer. I’ve had appts over two hours. Always try to sell you the highest end lenses and sunglasses. Nice people but more salespeople than anything.

I can’t say enough about them. Helped me out in a pinch numerous times. They went above and beyond. One of the benefits of choosing an in-town practice.

I would like to thank Schoonover eye care, Dr. Beckage and the great staff at the Peckville loction. They were attentive to my needs and concerns, correcting a pair of glasses that I recently obtained from a competitor that provided me with poor vision. You guys are great, Keep up the good work!

Friendly staff and quick service. Kids loved the selection of glasses. They offered some great reminders for eye treatment such as cleaning wipes and eye mask to help with dry eyes. It’s so nice seeing a female owned business who treats the clients like family. Thanks!

If I could rate this place less I would. How dare this doctor & her associates talk to my daughters they way they did. You are an optometrist, not a life coach. The doctor herself told my daughter than upon her next visit “she needs to tell her 3 things she did that changed in a positive way” & when she mistakenly pulled up the 2022 calendar to schedule an appt, her associate yelled from a different room, “ha, you almost gave this girl 2 years to get her life in order”. There were other clients in rooms at this time & the look of embarrassment on my daughters face was terrible. I will never go back here & if I can report this place & staff somewhere I will.
Just today my other daughter got an email stating a past due balance. We paid for her contacts & was told no other payment was due (we weren’t told of any other payment) and we took their prescription with us because I refuse to pay $200+ for frames. She was told it was for the picture they took of her eye & needs a referral for that. Wouldn’t you let your patient know beforehand or call for the referral if you know you’re doing this? I will fight whatever amount they claim is owed. For the sake of your kids, young adults & yourself, —just because they’re local—they are not worth your time.

I took my daughter here. She was very rude, unorganized and very unprofessional. Waited over 2 hrs putting my daughter in and out of examination rooms. I paid $70. $40 was because of a co-pay and $30 was because they measured my daughter for glasses that she did not need. That’s what they told me. She also billed my health insurance which paid her $105. Now I’ve received another bill for $87.50. $262.50 for an eye examine? This is insurance fraud. I do not have a vision plan. My health insurance does not cover eye examines and now your double billing me. Fraud!

I received the best and most through eye care ftom the professional and caring staff. I highly recommend Schoonover opthomology and I am a picky RN and know and appreciate quality care.

I have been wearing contact lenses for 25 years and I have been to numerous Eye professionals. The big corporations like Pearle and Crystal vision are all about the $ and don't even get your vision right. Dr. Rebecca Schoonover from Schoonover Eye Care truly cares about your vision and goes the distance to give you an accurate diagnosis leaving you with perfect clarity. I ripped my last lens and how quickly she was able to see me, so I can see was remarkable. She works with many different insurance companies as well so my pockets weren't empty after leaving. Vision is very important and I won't trust anyone but her with it. You should do the same.

My daughter was having a very hard time in school until we saw Dr Schoonover. Her prescription is very complicated and I doubt the larger chains would have been able to identify her issues. Now she is reading at a higher level than expected for her grade. The staff was extremely friendly, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I would highly recommend Schoonover Eye Care!
