Amazing grounds for hiking and exploring. Well maintained trails, abundant wildlife and a welcome refuge from the city.

Drove many children and adults here, they enjoyed the peace and beauty. Great place to learn from and get lost in. They provide maps of trails, some of which are longer than others

The Schuylkill Center was very helpful to my brother and I when we both rescued wildlife with injuries. One a seagull with a broken wing and an opossum that was having trouble with his hind legs. I was able to keep updated on the progress of the animals by phone. It's a wonderful rehab for injured wildlife. Thank you, SC!

I’ve utilized this place quite a bit by bringing all injured animals to them. They provide u with the info so that u can check in with your rescued animal to see how they were. My mom volunteered here as well! She had an amazing experience and learned so much!
I also, took my boys there (5&8)
for a guided Nature hike that wasn’t very eventful, but it still was fun (and Fr͏e͏e!)

We enjoyed the wine berry picking day. Could have done without the ticks (make sure you spray yourself!)

A well established yet easily overlooked green space in Philadelphia, the Schuylkill center offers a number of environmentally linked activities. From preschool to plant sales, and farm plots to easy hiking, there's something for everyone.

It’s a nice little place to walk around. Environmental center is open from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday for kids education. The trails surrounding it are open dawn to dusk though although you can’t drive back to the environmental center you have to park a little bit of the street in the lot. There are a few cool stone carvings back there, a pond in which they are trying to regrow Cattails! There is also remnants of an old Spring House that is from the colonial era on one of the trails.

I want to stay here all the time. Such a magical oasis of nature. Thank you so much to the many staff members who have showed our camp a great time.

This place had a great nature program for the kids. They spend most of the day outside playing and learning about the world around them.

Great place to take the kids for a nature day. Take note, no dog walking is allowed on trails to preserve the natural order of.nature. Also, a great plant sale takes place here every spring.

This is a true hidden treasure! Nestled in the city, quiet and beautiful setting into the woods. The perfect getaway with children.

They have an indoor art gallery and small store. Very reasonable pricing!

Get on their email list for all the cool events throughout the year.

Best kept secret in Philadelphia. Trails, nature center and year round activities are all amazing. Seedlings is a nature focused class for young kids where they explore facets of the natural world hands on

My daughters class went here on a field trip last week and I didn't think it was that great. All they did was get to try to scoop things out of 2 ponds with a 3 foot net so they couldn't catch much. At the second lake, we were the second group for people to go there so any animals were scared away by the time we got there
