The people are all very nice, but this company really needs to be bought out by a company that will take providing internet seriously and invest in reliability and delivering promised speeds. Our internet goes out almost every time it rains, and can be out for days. Also, if the power goes out, which also happens continuously, we lose internet because service electric doesn’t have a generator to keep operating! Can you imagine? When it is operating, it’s decent service, but the one gig service I’m paying for has never been seen, 500 mbps is about max at the modem. So, you pay for 1 gig, but get half that at best, and the internet is down at least 25% of the time. We who have no other options for high speed internet are forced to spend thousands of dollars on satellite internet so we’re not cut off from internet and phone service when service electric’s internet isn’t working. If any major company moved into the region service electric would be out of business the next day. Sadly, we’re not a big enough market to make it worthwhile for the likes of Verizon etc.
