It’s hard to express how frustrating and disappointing Service Electric has been as our ISP. We are consistently experiencing drops, poor download speeds (we average around half of what we pay for every month), subpar upload speeds and never a concrete resolution to our problems even though we’ve had techs out several times. We’ve purchased a brand new router which is powerful enough to provide connection to a house twice the size of ours and were provided an updated modem from SE (side note here, we had to call them to discover there was a firmware update). The list goes on and on. Just today I ran a speed test using the app their tech recommended and got an 18 mbps download speed. We’re paying for 100. I am not happy at all with SE as an ISP and feel there is a tremendous amount of improvement they need to do. Otherwise, I am looking forward to the day there is another ISP in our area. I would not recommend them to anyone at this time.

High prices for unreliable internet. Working from home has been a nightmare during covid 19 stay at home order. Our connection has dropped multiple times a day everyday since the first week. Technical support useless. Ill be surprised if I dont lose my job because of them.

This is the absolute worst company do not recommend only get half the speed that a pay for goes in and out every day when you call customer service at tell you to unplug it and plug it back and I have to do that three times a day consider another company because this company is no good no matter what speed you have this is for internet service

Absolutely the worst internet service ever. You get maybe half the speed that you pay for which is already overpriced to begin with, then you hardly ever have a stable connection, even with a direct connection.

With Service Electric, it takes me 3 days of constant running of my PC to download a 60 GB game. With Xfinity, it takes me a solid 15 - 20 minutes. Service Electric is hands down the worst internet provider around. Don't even get me started on the customer service. I've contacted them various times and I always get the same response which never helps.

Abaosultey terrible customer service. Awful internet connection. I pay 75/mo for 50 mbps and I never ever had the full 50mbps (speed tester) and that’s only when the internet decides to work. I also get charged 10/mo extra because I don’t have cable with them. Terrible company. Stay away if you can.

They are not consistent and they're customer service sucks I was in the process of moving I still have my equipment at the time my bill was only 56 dollars a month. I called to reconnect it now it's way more and they want to charge me every month for my equipment blah. Rediculous.

PLEASE READ AND COMMENT WITH YOUR SERVICE ELECTRIC HORROR STORIES! AND THEN SHARE! AND SHARE SOME MORE! LET'S GET SOME ANSWERS FROM SERVICE ELECTRIC!

I have called 4 times to Service Electric over the past 12 hours. I was treated terribly, refused a manager, and am still on hold for a total of 4 hours through this day. Not to mention, I have left several messages in supervisors Stephanie and Chris voicemails that have been ignored. I am stuck with having only their horrible company as an option for both internet and cable tv. I have tried to leave but because of the wooded areas around our house we can not get satellite and verizon only offers the lowest speed internet which is about the same as dial up. They know this so they feel they can treat me how ever they want because I have NO other options. Since I work from home, I have lost 1000's of dollars due to their poor service and even poorer customer care. I will be filing with the better business bureau and will be getting in touch with all media outlets regarding this poor service, for both their actual service and customer service. I just spoke with Pat # 548 who was nothing but unhelpful and rude. She threatened to disconnect on me four times as I demanded a supervisor after waiting on hold for hours on end and said I would need to continue to wait. I then left a message on theur Facebook and supervisor Stacy called me back. She was rude, interrupted and said she would not give anymore credit than the $10. They did not keep accounts according to when I had called in, and because Penn Teledata is their overnight support they have no records of these calls so they dont count in her book. When I became upset she told me she was going to disconnect the call. Between the amount of money I lost due to not being able to work due to your service cutting out on me, the heinous way I was treated by employees and managers, and the refusal to give me proper credits, they get a serious ZERO in my book. You are bullies and care nothing about your customers. I refused to pay my bill till they credited me what I was due, and they offered me a $10 credit. I tried again to reach out to say that is a drop in the bucket and they have now turned off my modem. Not only that, I looked at my bills and they have slowly raused my rate over the last year without notifying me. They may have invented cable tv but they are certainly the most uninnovated and unethical company I have ever worked with. Legal action will be next if I do not receive proper attention and credits to this matter.

Our experience with Service Electric service has been 100% satisfactory, even a bit beyond that. Call during business hours, because the offhours coverage from PenTeleData was not so good.

They bill more and more, without an explanation. Service is interrupted and no one available to take calls for hours.

Internet speeds aren't as advertised​. Periodic internet outages for multiple hours without warning or updates.

Have tried to reach customer service on four different occasions, on hold for 30+ minutes (even as much as 50 min) only for recording to finally say "I'm sorry, we are experiencing technical difficulties at this time. Please hang up and try your call again"! STILL HAVEN'T REACHED AN ACTUAL PERSON! Seriously poor customer service!
