Shear Talent Hair Salon Haircuts, Bethel Park PA

I have been going to my stylist (not at this salon) for the past 4 years my hair has been looking great and healthy. Due to some circumstances I had to find a stylist close to home and I was recomended sheer talent I will not name the stylist but I am so disappointed at the service my hair has been fried, I am being forced to get my hair cut because of the last color service I had. I due take great care of my hair thats one thing I dont mess around with! I am so disspointed at how everything turned out and cant wait to go back to my stylist to get this mess fixed. Update just went to a salon to get my hair washed and the stylist was in shock after she saw how bad my hair is. She also said i will have to cut off a lot of my hair because its so damaged. I am so mad about this and especially since noone cares at that salon.

Very friendly staff. I come here every time I need my hair cut and I always request Terry. She does an incredible job and is always open minded about what style I want.

Had apt to get rid of brassy color, new hair cut and heavy highlights. Was told I'd get all over color and highlights. I also said I wanted a new cut, something that would give me volume with my fine hair, maybe some bangs. I was there for 2 hrs. Since I work night turn I said I didnt need dried or styled, was going home to go to bed. When I got to the counter, I was shocked! My bill was $195! I questioned it and the rude lady at the desk said "it should be more. She gave you a discount on the haircut. " When I got home I looked at my hair when it dried. There were spots over my head with no color. I had NO NEW cut. My hair was the same.only trimmed ends. I called and complained. When I went back she put two more highlights in. Total waste of time! And when I called the mgr she wasn't very friendly. " You can have some else do it but you'll have to pay. " What? ! Nicolena NEVER reviewed costs with me.she just did whatever.

Before I went under dryer, I said " I'm going to smoke real quick. " She said "No you're not. I'm busy. " Recently went to Borics. Same service, new haircut. $100.

Will NEVER go back or say anything positive about the salon! Very, very unprofessional! Felt very uncomfortable.

1st time there.was visiting relatives in PA and took the recommendation of my friend. It was a last minute decision. I got Jenn. The haircut was fabulous and every single person in the salon was very friendly. I'd go back anytime. I might even have to make the trip from MD every month or so to get a haircut!

Called yesterday to ask if anyone was available for a corrective color consultation for someone with brassy hair looking to go a cooler toned color. Was told that absolutely I could come in and the woman over the phone asked me if I had bleached or dyed my hair recently. I said yes and the brand and was warned that they probably would not be able to get me as cool toned as I wanted for the first appointment. That’s fine i was not really expecting it to be perfect since I’ve worked with this salon before and been told the same thing. Came in for my appointment this morning and explained that I was here for a correction consultation and was basically told that
1. The color I had chosen would not look good on me at all and would make me look “bland” (even though I’ve had the color before and liked it).
2. That the dye I had previously used was impossible to get off of hair and they would not be able to do ANYTHING (I told the person on the phone was brand I used and they failed to tell me this)
How unprofessional is it to bring someone in for corrections and then immediately tell them that they are incapable of literally doing anything to your hair. I was not suggested to go Warner or darker or anything I was basically told that when my hair grows out that they can cut the dyed hair off and start fresh but if that was the answer I should have been told that over the phone. After looking online the woman I spoke to on the phone is in there as a hairdresser so she must have had some knowledge about this “impossible due”
Very frustrating experience and will definitely explore other salons with more professional staff for what I am looking for.

Love this place always a great day with Dee Ramsey best hairstylist in town. Never been disappointed!

This is the best place to get your hair done anywhere in Pittsburgh! Denise Dascola has over 35 years experience and is absolutely the best hairdresser! I just love this salon and I can't say enough about Denise. She has such a great listening ear and really knows how to deliver what you really want!

I brought my 3 and 5yr old here for haircuts. They were so excited to get their hair cut in a real hair salon. Haha. I've been cutting their hair up until now. They saw Terri, and she was great with them. They sat so nice for her. I was so impressed. Highly recommend her. Definitely will be back.
