The best animal hospital I have ever experienced. Every single person that works there is so kind and patient. From the wonderful Patty, whom I talked with on the phone right down to the vet that took very good care of my baby boy. I would highly recommend if your baby is in need of emergency care. Only the best for our fur babies and Shores gives you the best care!

Horrible experience! After taking my Saga for a foot injury we were told she had to have her leg amputated, after spending all our funds on the current treatment the only option they gave us was to surrender her stating she needed the surgery within 25 hours to save her life. After making the horrible decision she was transferred to a shelter. Their vet treated her without surgery. I feel completely deceived and wish I would’ve never took her there for treatment. Worse experience ever! I do not recommend!

Wonderful experience! These folks took great care of our of our kitty Julius, who had a urinary blockage. They were caring and efficient. They gave lots of communication and showed great compassion. They said they enjoyed working with Julius and we enjoyed working with them in a stressful time - CUDOS. If you have an emergency, we highly recommend you go here!

Was visiting Harrisburg, Pennsylvania when my little dog boo got sick 13 year old Chihuahua. Thank you so much Sarah Mosser we made it back to Tennessee with her just fine. Thank you for caring for her and getting her back home to her vet. She is doing fine now not over it but she is doing better.

I could not be happier with my experience. We took our 4lb yorkie with an infected cut to be seen and we did not wait more than 2.5 hours (which is incredible considering other local Er's were a 5-6 hour wait. They treated her and us with kindness and explained everything thoroughly and made it known they were available for further questions. Highly recommend if you have an emergency!

My dog was sick; but not critically ill.
I couldn’t get her in at my own vet for three days; and, I didn’t want to wait.
I knew something was wrong and feared she’d get worse. I felt bad taking her to an emergency vet and apologized. They were so nice and understanding, saying it was okay. They know how hard it is to get into the regular vet.
I’m so glad I took her. It turned out my dog was very sick and had to be admitted.
They kept us updated on her progress the entire time she was there. I was very glad she was at a place where there was staff 24/7. Most regular vets don’t have staff overnight. Each and every employee at Shores was kind. They explained everything that was happening and showed me her labs and X-rays. If I called to see how she was, they were patient and found someone to talk to me.
It wasn’t cheap. Not by any means. They make sure you know the cost upfront. To me, it was well worth the expense. I am very thankful and grateful that this practice is there to serve the Harrisburg area.

Very happy with this practice. They brought our puppy back from the brink of death. He was so sick and they did a great job of caring for him and making him comfortable. I could call anytime and check on him and they were so thorough and kind with the my questions and answers. They gave us a plan going forward and explained any future testing that may be needed in the future.

Our elderly cat had a stroke a few months ago. We rushed her here since it was a Sunday. They drew blood and diagnosed her with hyperthyroid pretty quickly. At that point they suggested we leave her overnight for observation. We left her there with a couple packets of her favorite wet food. They assured us they would attempt to feed her overnight. They next day they suggested we put her down because she didn't even attempt to eat or drink. Then they handed us back the unopened food so clearly they never even tried. We brought her home against their suggestion and she fully recovered. She's had a great 6 months with the condition being controlled by a simple medication. Now here we are less than a year later and they REFUSE to authorize refills on the prescription. They insist we put her through the stress and anxiety of a vet visit instead of just refilling so she can be comfortable with whatever time she has left. They just want more money for a visit after charging us over $1,000 to stick her in a cage overnight with no food or care. The person who answered the phone would not even attempt to let me talk to a vet. It hasn't even been a year since they treated her and we can't get a simple refill to keep her alive. These people are monsters.

On Easter of this year, we had an unexpected emergency with our beloved cat, Lula. The staff were very kind and very sensitive to our feelings. Unfortunately, Lula had a severe medical issue and could not be saved. The staff let us have as much time as we wanted with him and I even got to hold him while he crossed the rainbow bridge. They let us know of different things they had to offer.as in arrangements and keepsakes. A few days later, we got a card from the staff, it was very kind and it is still hanging on our fridge. We are very thankful for them and all they do for our babies.

We had a huge scare after our pups ate raisins. I called them and they walked me thru everything. After 5 calls later. They still treated me like I was the most important person. I can't thank you guys enough. I will never go anywhere but here. 10 stars all the way. And thanks for helping me save my pups in such a dramatic moment.

I would like to say thank you to dr. Zippay and the vet tech who helped max and I on Saturday. Unfortunately maxs health was in to bad of shape and he had to be euthanized. Dr Zippay was kind and respectful and she consoled me while we euthanized max and explained what was going on. The vet tech who helped was also kind and respectful and she took the time to console me and make me feel better. Even though this was the hardest day for me they still were great and worked with me. The staff was great and I recommend shores.

I took my pitbull to here after a major surgery for recovery. The staff was amazing I can not praise them enough for the care and affection they showed my dog. It had felt like they treated my dog with the same care and compassion they would show to the dog or animal they own. Extremely grateful for the care and respect they have given me

After having received instructions from our vet to bring our dog to this center for emergency care, we called to try to get some information on how to proceed. I am not a medical professional for people or animals, I am disabled through a mental handicap. I tried my best to explain the situation and got my father on the phone as well and the general attitude received from the desk receptionist was needlessly rude, impatient, callous and outright unethical. I am completely floored by the tone this women had with me. We tried to resolve the situation any way we could yet we ultimately ended up having to call our personal vet back to schedule our dog to be put to sleep in the coming weeks. Look, people can have whatever opinion they want on costs of treatment, but you have absolutely no right to disrespect people because they can't pull several thousand dollars out of thin air; In fact I don't think I know anyone who can.

We unfortunately had to put our dog down after being in so much pain at nearly 11 years old. The staff and facilities here were far beyond what we could hope for. They made us feel cared about and we were able to hold him and love on him until he passed. They were amazing and compassionate.

Awesome folks. My dog had a stroke, and we had to put him to sleep awhile back. The staff was very patient with me as I was quite emotional. They were very kind, knowledgeable, and were genuinely caring.

They did so good with my Lab! They were so sweet and made him feel like home as much as he could. They were super gentle and helpful after my dog ate 6 rib bones.
