Visited here tonight for dinner with eight of my cohort classmates after completing our finals and celebrating our first semester down in graduate school. The food and seasonal drinks were excellent! Nice atmosphere and music as pleasant. I rated a 2 because the waitress Brooke was very discriminatory and prejudiced. The first instance happened when she was taking drink orders; she started taking orders on the other side of the table. When she got to me, she suddenly exclaimed, "Can I just see some ID now from everyone. " This instantly caught the attention of everyone at the table because she had just taken four of my cohort member's drink orders without inquiring about identification. The second instance was when she was coming back with the receipts. Making her way around the table, she got to my side and only had two pens left and three of us to give checks back. Once she realized that she did not have enough pens, she literally skipped me and went back and gave it to my white cohort member to my right. From my experiences here in Pittsburgh since coming for grad school, I'd expected and experienced such behavior, but this was the first time it was so blatant and obvious. Hopefully, they can create an inclusive and equitable experience for all patrons in the future.

Experience?

First of all, get ready for uncomfortable seating, everything is metal.
Second, the scrawny blonde bartender on the rooftop bar couldn’t be bothered to even acknowledge me, she was too busy talking to her coworker.

Guess what? I left and I will never go back.

We had such high hopes for this place. Someone needs to tell them that charcuterie means meats and almost always CHEESE. This place didn’t have either, even though they have charcuterie in their name, on their walls, and the cover of their menu! We got an appetizer that we hoped would have some sorta meat or cheese and it was seriously cat food, I’m not joking. The best way to describe it was cold (almost frozen) ham salad with a side of FAT. It was complete barf. We also ordered a arugula salad that was really gross AND the pizza we ordered took 2 hours to come out.even though they were not busy at all when we ordered it. In the 2+ hours we were there, I only saw one other person receive their food and they were highly disappointed as well as they took 2 bites of their pasta and left. Not one thing was good about this experience which was a real shame as we’ve wanted to eat here for over a year!

Can’t speak on the restaurant/food portion. But the upstairs staff at Il Tetto was unbelievably rude. They accused us of vaping? (Didn’t know people vaped since 2017/18) And kept threatening to kick us out. Won’t be back

I was blown away by the beef meatballs with smoked gouda and pesto sauce. There was so much more than expected and the leftovers were delicious the next day too.

This is a great place for happy hour. I had a four dollar stout draft and it was excellent. I got the fried pickle chips and the proportions were quite large. I normally get the pickle chips here and I like them because they are thin and crispy. This time I think I got even more than what I normally get. Gmr

If I ever eat here again it will be too soon. The bar top restaurant was great with the view of the city etc but the restaurant is just plain awful. Two of us ordered the bolognese bianco and it was just the most disgusting entree. It came cold with just some sauteed pork, panko crumbs on top and no white sauce at all. I requested some tomato sauce since it was so dry. I was brought a bowl of crushed tomatoes which was described as marinara sauce. It was ice cold. I sent it back to be heated and it came back lukewarm. At that point there was no reason hope to salvage this entree. The pizza is good. Thank goodness we ordered that as well. The cauliflower was cold as well and it was also a poor entree. The waiter was kind but we should have asked for compensation for this meal. The menu has only about 4 or 5 entrees. I would not recommend this restaurant except for the pizza.

I had never been to a place that specialized in meatballs, new experience for the group and thrilled we stumbled across the place. Good food, well priced and good ambiance

Went here for dinner on a Saturday at Mezzo, first time going there, and I left pleasantly surprised. Not that I expected to be disappointed; I'm not extremely fussy, but I've had enough experiences with eateries that are priced "nice" but don't really deliver on that. The menu is sleek, but it covers the bases. My girlfriend can't have dairy or gluten, so she got the pork chop, and absolutely loved it. I'm vegetarian, so I'm getting well used to eating a head of cauliflower for dinner, but I'd have to say the Mezzo roasted cauliflower is the most succulent I've tasted. Two glasses of reasonably priced wine, and that made for a simple and excellent dinner.

As a side note, I brought with me several gift cards of indeterminate value. One of the cards wouldn't scan, and the host was more than helpful in figuring that out and even came upstairs to alert my server about the card.

Good and enjoyable atmosphere across from our hotel. Todd our waiter was fabulous, he even gave gave us his list of his must see things in Pittsburgh. A good variety to choose from especially their meatballs! We created our own meatball sliders with different sauces and balls with a poutine. Generous portions to go with reasonable prices and tasty food.

I love eating at the pittsburgh location. Unfortunately I work construction in town and was looking forward to enjoying for lunch with my team. Since Covid and hours have changed and have not been udjusted to normal hours of operation really put a damper in our week.

Casual restaurant. Friendly staff. Bar on the third floor is loud but good to meet friends. Tables on third floor with high stool seating though not convenient for anyone in wheel chair. Restaurant, elevator and restrooms are wheel chair accessible.

You can take your drinks from third floor to first floor. First floor seems more suited for dining and convenient seating for wheel chair.

Cheese Curd was an amazing appetizer. Vegetarian meatball was not good. Have eaten much better vegetarian meatballs. Marinara sauce for pasta and hoagie did not seem fresh and tasty. Italian food tastes good when sauce is good, you see and taste good Olive oil and taste fresh herbs. Was disappointed with entree.

Great waiter. Very unique menu. Pick your balls, add pasta, add sauce. Street level is MEATballs. Rooftop closed for wedding. Enjoyed craft beer and refreshing cocktail. Crack sauce so good. Pickle chips good! Huge order.

Fun atmosphere! Went to the rooftop bar. Wish there were more food options for up the rooftop goers. The options they do have are tasty though!

Mezzo on the second floor provides and pleasant dining experience. The Shrimp Fra Diavolo was spicier than I expected but was still wonderful. They also offer half portions of pasta for a lighter meal.
