SightMD Pennsylvania (Progressive Vision Institute), Shamokin PA

Usually a great experience, today I had to wait about 40 mins because the doctor was not in. Was told I couldn't have my daughter seen by anyone else. Did not get an explanation of what happened or an apology. If I was to be late or not show up I am sure you would have charged me a no show fee. Just disappointed with today and how customers are expected to show up on time but doctors do not have to value your time.

First time there and the staff was courteous, respectful and I was in and out with no problems.

I received great service from the entire staff. Alyssa Gasser OD was very thorough. I ordered new glasses & sunglasses and feel confident my new prescription will help my aging eyes.

Dr Lin is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things to you. He doesn’t insist on treatment if it’s not needed but yet he stays on top of things and doesn’t let things go on and on either.

Dr Gasser was very professional, kind, and reassuring. She took time to explain the administration of the drops from here forward, etc.

Very Pleasant place, receptionist and great Doctor. I have very severe anxiety, but they made me feel right at home.

The eye care provided here is personable and good. Efficient.in and out. They have put some policies in place for consistent no shows. So set your phone reminders or prepare to pay 25$! Also out of pocket payments are due immediately, no more partial pay

Fantastic eye care establishment! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, even working to get me in as soon as possible. When I came in for my appointment, they understood my fear of eye dilation and worked through it with me giving me breaks between drops and allowing me to pick out a pair of frames while I waited for it to kick in. Doctor answered all of my questions and concerns and didn’t talk down to me which was wonderful. While overall I was there a long while due to all the needed procedures and other patients being seen, it was definitely worth it for the good service. They also printed out my prescription and handed to me without me even asking, which I have never had prior places do for me! Not even a few days later I also got a phone call that my frames arrived for pickup which was just great as I was so excited to finally have new glasses. I would highly recommend SightMD for all of your eye / optometrical needs.

I absolutely love this place! I always recommend Sight MD to everyone and anyone. I always enjoy coming in and interacting with the people who work there, they’re so friendly, funny and just all around good people to be around!

Doctor was very polite and understanding. The optical knew what I needed so I didn't have to sit down and fit the glasses

Dr Shann Lin is the absolute best. My mother was legally blind when she went to him and he got her vision back. He did the same for my brother. They both have diabetic neuropathy. I now go to him to because I have macular degeneration. He is always so nice. I would highly recommend them.

As always staff is awesome. Shamokin location however is shabby and uninviting. Rooms are too small and not that clean

I felt so comfortable and pleased with the doctor taking care of me on emergency basis and explaining what she had to do to me to resolve my situation with my eyes. The staff was very accommodating. Especially meeting them for the first time on an emergency basis very professional.

Made an appointment and was seen in 2 days! Courteous and knowledgeable staff. Was charged a reasonable rate, not having insurance. Highly recommend.

I love going here my fiancé Jeremy went here first then me and my daughter started coming. Staff is very pleasant, the eye doctor is very nice and family friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone. Plus they have a great assortment of eye wear.
