Writing a review to help balance out some of these undeserved 1-star reviews. SisTers PGH is vital to our community. Their focus on uplifting BIPOC trans/gnc folks is necessary and we as the Pittsburgh community are very thankful for the work this team does. To have such a powerful organization in the city makes the whole LGBTQIA2S+ community proud. In solidarity, thank you for your dedication, passion & commitment.

It has a good goal but I'm not even sure it exists. I called and tried going down during alleged open hours, but received no response.

I wanted to give this group on all of my experiences I've experienced in Washington DC. All I got was a blank stare. I waited for them to call me to start so much of my experienced. Never received that call as I was told someone will give me a call. I've asked to wash their front windows. I was told no their going to wash them. I came to thier pride event. I had a harder time trying to get the starting point of the pride parade. I found them myself.
Well, I came to begin safe shelter housing for Pittsburgh lgptq family. Allot of shelters do not know how to protect our transgender families and mainly fleeing from domestic violence.
I've made only one call to the Mayor's office and he think my idea is great.
All he ask of my non-profit organization are to write a business plan to present for grants. He said to add our safety plan etc. To get us grants for rebuild schools and houses that have been abandoned. Well, all I can say is. No time to waste. Not in this lifetime!

I contacted this organization 4 times in as many weeks, via VMs and 2 emails to Ciora directly, but didn't receive a call back until today, a Friday, at 5: 30, from an individual who did not disclose her name. 45 seconds into our conversation she informed me "We're not interested in your efforts to volunteer, " without further explanation. She rudely hung up on me, saying "Have a nice day. " What kind of person treats a potential ally like that? People, think twice before throwing support to uplift SisTers PGH because if this is how they treat wannabe volunteers, can you imagine how they treat their partners and clientele? Zero stars and they need to rethink how the community views their reputation.
