Skyline Family Restaurant reviews
17 Accommodated large party on NYE day.
Pleasant wait staff, did a good job with amount of people in our party. Food good, nothing exceptional, prices reasonable.
A very clean restaurant with attentive servers, GREAT food and wonderful environment! I heartily recommend.
Catered meal for a birthday party. Chicken cordon blue, salad, baked potato and green beans. Very delicious and great size portions.
Nice place and waitress, but my wife nor me liked the food. Its the first time that my dog ended up with my roast beef after i washed the heavy seasoning off. Beef gravy tasted like stove top filling, maybe like chicken and beef mixed. Bread filling looked like slices of bread with maybe mashed potatoes in between
We had their all you can eat Chicken Pot Pie and apparently people crowd the restaurant on Thursdays for this stuff. Good price. Waiter told us one customer had 6 bowls. My husband loved it, I thought it had a little too much Rosmary but was still delicious.
I didn't care for the meatloaf & corn. The meatloaf was too ground up and smash with no taste. Corn was to water's not cook all the way, no taste of corn. The fresh flies was good! Sorry there no pictures.
My friend had chicken spaghetti & there wasn't much spaghetti sauce with it I say about 4 Tbsp of it. Need a lot more then that. Also the chicken was not tender or done.
Also the Peanut Butter Pie had peanut in it. The waiting didn't know there was penutes in it. I didn't care for the pie. No taste & to hard. The Iced Teas & Mountain Dew was good.
Not to sure if we want to go back Again or Not.
Very bad experience. I ordered the country potatoes that stated on the menu generous portion of ham. It had a couple slivers (bead-sized) of ham on it and I sent it back. The manager also agreed that it barely had any ham on it but then after I sent it back twice her tone changed. The manager leaned in towards me (I was sitting on the other side of my husband) and in a very disrespectful tone, raised her voice at me which made other customers look. She told me she had worked there for 20 years with never a complaint about it. And I even said to her is this really how a manager should handle things by raising her voice at me. This only seemed to anger her more. She said she would take it back now and take it off our check with no other solution given. After being yelled at with other customers looking, we were not going to stay and then on our way out, she said you are still going to need to pay for the one meal that my husband barely ate. The manager proceeded to talk rude by telling the cashier in front of other customers that we complained about the country potatoes and basically made fun of us for complaining. My husband did say he didn't think he should have to pay since he barely ate his meal but she said you need to. We did not argue further and my husband paid for his barely eaten meal. I am appalled by the raising of her voice and not coming up with a solution for this. Yes, I was irritated and voiced my opinion that their menu should be updated but I did not raise my voice. Regardless, this is not the customer service anyone should receive.
We have visited Skyline quite often but today… what a disappointment. The biscuits were doughy. Not quite done. The potatoes were cold except for a couple spots. Kinda like when you microwave to warm up food. And the toast? Wow. No a toast fan at all but it was so cold the butter didn’t even melt. Granted, the waitress did ask as soon as we took our first bite how was it and we shook our heads yes… (our mouth was full). Having said that, the waitress said there was nothing she could do, and we paid full price. Cool. I don’t care about the money. I care another diner has managed to decline in quality of food they serve. And when I said ok. We probably won’t be back, the waitress was like, that’s fine. No tip for you sunshine ️ I’m not sure what would of made it right in my eyes. Again, paying for QUALITY food is not a problem. Be warned. If your food is out of the microwave and pockets of it are cold… tell them right away. Maybe they will do something ️ Probably not though. Sorry your food was really terrible today. (Sunday)
Great family restaurant with friendly staff and delicious home-cooked meals! Clean interior and bathrooms.
The food was good and the staff was very friendly. We walked in and was seated immediately. The food came out quickly.
Food was good and reasonably priced. The service was to notch. The twins working definitely made it an enjoyable visit. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.
Nice venue. Went for a special function for a family friend. They have a large case of desserts in the front by the cashier which caught my eye when walking in. Looks to be homemade. Spacious dining area. The function we attended was in the large banquet room in the back which has its own entrance and good for the elderly people in our party to have a short walk from the parking lot. All paved easy for walkers and wheelchairs. Nice selection of food, coffee and drink choices. They have clean bathrooms too. Enjoyable time and nice ambiance.
We had our monthly retirees breakfast at the Skyline Family Restaurant for June. We had called ahead as it was a large group of 10. They have plenty of seating for your family and friends get-togethers. The staff was very polite and friendly. The breakfast menu was quite extensive. I'm sure everyone can find something to suit their taste buds. The food was great, hot and tasty. The prices were very reasonable with plenty of daily specials to choose from. I had 2 eggs, home fries, 3 pcs of bacon and toast for $6.29. We spent two hours chatting and drank a gallon of good hot coffee. Great food, friendly staff, good service and reasonable prices. Give the Skyline a try if you're in the area
Had dinner with grandson here while on vacation. Great place, friendly staff, excellent food, wide variety. They catered to grandson special order.dessert options as well.
Hadn't been here in years, and was pleasantly surprised to see all the renovations and updates! No complaints. Had breakfast. Asked for the corned beef hash to be extra crispy, and it was! Would go back.
Always Love to stop in at the Skyline Restaurant. Another Homestyle Family Restaurant. They make most of their own Soups among other foods. Service is Always "Fast & Friendly". My favorite is Breakfast "Stuffed Strawberry French Toast".
Not good food. My Shepherd's Pie tasted like chicken dressing rather then the beef it had in it and was cold in the center. Definitely wont go back on our next trip to PA
