Sleepy Hollow Inn Bed & Breakfast, Elysburg PA

I needed to book a room as soon as possible for my brother's viewing. He had passed suddenly. I was having a hard time getting hold of places closer to where I had to drive. Sleepy hollow was a half hour out of my way but I booked it not knowing if I would find a place to stay. Right after I booked it, another bed and breakfast returned my call. They were on my way and 5 minutes from where my brother's viewing was being held.
I went to call the other B&B, Sleepy Hollow, so I can cancel and they told me I'll be charged $30. I let them know I wasn't aware of a cancellation fee as I never ran into this before and I was in a hurry to reserve a room. I explained my brother passed suddenly but they still charged me without any concern or understanding my situation.
They can have their $30 for the minutes I had a reservation. What they don't have is any concern or empathy towards others.
I will never forget how cold they were, given my situation. So beware before reserving with them. My husband and I have stayed at several B&B's, had to cancel at times due to changes, but have never encountered someone who charged fees cancelling, especially cancelling within minutes of reservation.
They simply said "it's on our website". They really should be ashamed for taking advantage of people who aren't thinking about fees that aren't there unless you look for them. People who are desperate for a place they need at a time they are upset. It says a lot about someone who just takes from others without any thought about what they may be going through.

If you want the very best, relaxing feeling, then stay here.

You won’t want to leave.

Here you are back in a time when people were nice to each other.

You’ll find yourself smiling a lot and forgetting about your problems because the Inn is magical.

Amazing hosts …comfy beds …very homey feeling and belly busting breakfast. This was an awesome B&B and close to Knoebels and Bloomsburg. We will be staying again and highly recommend staying here. Great job guys!

The Sleepy Hollow Inn Bed & Breakfast is the perfect stop for a cozy weekend in rural PA! They decorate for every season and serve a massive breakfast! I had the most amazing sausage biscuits and gravy so I may come back just to get more of that! It’s a perfect homey and quaint escape from reality. Near many local attractions like knoebels so it’s great for kids but it’s the perfect stay for a little romantic getaway. In the warmer month it would be perfect to hang out in the adorable gazebo by the lake but it was a little chilly this weekend! We will be here many more times! This is a place to visit in every season!

So happy to have found the Sleepy Hollow Inn Bed and Breakfast! We were traveling to New England from the Midwest and needed a place to stay for a few nights so we could also visit Knoebel’s Amusement park along the way. Inn keepers Victoria and Faron are wonderful hosts! We were in the Americana Room and enjoyed it immensely. Super clean, comfortable, and plenty of room for our family of four. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. Portions are huge! Cannot recommend Sleepy Hollow enough. Will definitely stay again the next time we’re in the area.

I had a beautiful Valentine’s Day weekend at this bed and breakfast, which was 2.5 hours from Philly. The hosts were so kind and thoughtful, and took great care in making us feel comfortable and satisfied. Our special dinner was just that—special! —and breakfast couldn’t have been better. Our room (The Nest) had a whirlpool tub, which I’d never used before, a TV with cable, a mini fridge and coffee maker, and all the essentials (clean bathroom, cozy bed, beautiful outdoor scenery perfect for photos!) There was service and wi-fi throughout the place. It snowed unexpectedly during our stay and the hosts shoveled the driveway for us and even brushed the snow off of our car! Wow!

I can’t recommend this place enough for people looking for a weekend getaway.

First timer with bed and breakfast and what a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to go back. Farren and Victoria make you feel right at home. Room was so spacious and clean. Breakfast was amazing.

We stay at Sleepy Hollow every year. This past visit was during the Halloween season and Sleepy Hollow was just as great as every other time we've stayed. Jim and Kareena clearly work hard to keep the inn clean and neat, and they serve the best breakfast in town. We look forward to our trip and will be back again next year! Thank you Jim and Kareena!
