Very friendly and helpful. I was given a free (large) bag of hay. They sell a large variety of yard, pet, and farm supplies. I will be coming back very soon!

Friendly, down home country atmosphere. Many of their products are produced right there on the farm, which are not readily available at regular big box stores, such as hay & straw, and animal feed like corn, oats and wheat. Prices seemed a little high to me, but, then again, what places have you shopped lately where you don't experience sticker shock? The owners are honest, genuine, hard working farmers who care about their patrons & their patron's livestock & pets. When the lady was helping me load my purchase into my vehicle, she saw Bella, my American pitbull, in the car. She made it a point to have me wait while she went inside & brought Bella a treat, showing a real, caring, neighborly attitude. Go to Smale's and smile.

Been there many times. Awesome people. They way life should be! Maine's motto holds true here. For a small farm store. They have it. Good prices. If they have it, I'll go there before anywhere else. Kudos to the help finding me fresh cut flowers for a nice touch for a romantic dinner. Thank you.

Love this place! Mel is super friendly, and helpful! Cool variety of bird supplies and apples for the deer! So much more! My pup always gets a biscuit and I always get a cheery welcome from Abner and the kitty!
