Smedley Park reviews
17I love this park, it's in a nice part of Springfield. There's a nice creek and lots of cool nature scenery around the back field. Great place to play fetch with your dog. Beware because there are beavers in the creek, they were chewing the trees down.
At least two large fields, two playgrounds, plenty of trails to hike, streams running throughout, and lots of parking. I've been loving walking my dog here and taking some time to play fetch in the fields. It's a little soggy on the playing fields, so wear shoes that will keep you dry!
This park was absolutely gorgeous. I recommend taking the road all the way to the end, Papermill or whatever that road is called, and parking all the way at the end then taking the east side of the Creek Trail. It's a pretty steep climb actually so I don't recommend going if it's too wet or if you have trouble with that.
Great park! Have been going there for years. Have had family picnics & kids birthday parties there. Walk the trails with my husband. Great place to pack a lunch and spend the day, it just pop in for an hour or two.
Always a nice park to walk around in, usually pretty clean, and police make presence known alot which is nice to make others feel comfortable
Great place for Mt Biking. Even better since we can ride from our house. Lots of technical trails. Not really a beginer place IMO. Lots of creek crossings, roots and various terrain. There are few easy paths bur they don't last long.
A great little slice of nature and a wonderful place to spend time with the family or to take a walk.
Great outdoor experience for hiking, picnicking, kite flying, soccer, fishing, being surrounded by flora and fauna just seconds from the blue route. We will be returning.
A hidden gem right in the middle of Delaware county. Great for biking, hiking, nature exploring, picnics, dog walking & running.
Great fishing spot. Everyone around super friendly. Was really cool seeing dogs walk around. This was just a pure fishing trip for boyfriend and I but it's a beautiful park. First time for me but I look forward to visiting again and looking around enjoying the scenery
This 120+ acre park
Smedley Park, located on 120 acres of land between Media and Springfield, attracts many outdoor enthusiast, scout groups, and local sports teams. The park has a picnic pavilion with one working barbecue and broken barbecue. The park has two playgrounds for children, ball fields, trails and walking bridges over Cum Creek. The park also has the Environmental Center and the Lewis House, headquarters of Penn State's Cooperative Extension of Delaware County.
Looks like a great area, but I wasn't able to do the distance I wanted due to the mud. I'll wait for it to freeze or dry before I go again.
Great place to make a legal u-turn.
If I get a chance to spend more time I will expand on this.
Great environment for outdoor activities
