They changed ownership (Smith retired) but it's the same courteous service. Very nice people, very helpful.

Smith’s Implements Inc.did a fantastic job with helping me acquire my new mower. Salesperson Richie was able to let me know of the whereabouts of the mower during the entire transit process. I HIGHLY recommend Smith’s to anyone looking to purchase a new mower or tractor!

Used to like these guys, but like most companies nowadays, have spiraled downward. Spent $300+ on a yearly service, I'm not sure what they did other than keeping my mower for a month and taking my money. On the 2nd time mowing my lawn after getting it back, had to replace both deck belts. I asked the part salesman if that something they check on the yearly service and he said you have to pay extra for that! On the 3rd time mowing, the PTO clutch fell off and the height adjustment knob broke! While repairing that myself, I found both fuel lines dry rot and leaking! I bought, and am going to buy, all of my parts from other online vendors from now on. I've researched and found how to fix these issues myself online. I cannot bring myself to financially support this company anymore. If I get to repairs I cannot handle myself, I am taking it elsewhere. Last year, my transmission had a leak. I went to pick it up and they said they couldn't find a leak! The mechanic that was helping me load it, (he didn't work on it), saw it when we were loading it, so we took it off and they kept it another week. It was a waste of my Saturday morning as it is the only time I can go there as they have BANKER hours during the week and can't go at night. Two years ago, I got a service kit to do it my self and they gave me the wrong one! They even looked my mower up as it is in their system! If anyone asks, I will tell them NEVER go here for anything. Like I said, I used to like them, have been going there for years, but their employees are either too old, too young, ready to retire, don't care, don't know or a combo of these items. I'm still having a hard time deciding if they are frauds or just incompetent!

Took my chainsaw there. They broke my piston. They stuck a piece of metal in the piston to hold so they could remove a bolt. Screwed up a 1200 dollar saw. Told to buy a new saw. They where to cheap to use proper tool. Or to cheap to buy the proper tool. So I am out a chainsaw.

Needed a new belt for my snow thrower. Took the old (worn but not broken) belt to the parts counter to get a replacement. 30 minuets later they THINK they have the right one. I even provided the serial and model numbers of both tractor and snow thrower. Of course they don't have any on hand. But can order. I place the order. Get a phone call that my order is in. On my fault it took me an extended period of time to get it picked up. (2-3 weeks) I arrive to pick it up and it cant be found. Apparently reshelved and sold out from under me. Repeat same 30 minute process to reorder my belt. While reordering the belt the parts guy tells me to just go to an auto parts store. Little did they know I already tried that.closest thing we could match just didn't work. Paid $26 ish dollars for that belt.went to put the new John Deere $54 belt on to find out. Yup. Wrong belt.glad I paid dou le the average price for the wrong belt. I dont mind paying more for quality but I expect it to be right when I do.

GREAT experience from start to finish purchasing a John Deere X590 lawn tractor with a snow blower attachment. The salesperson, Rich Caldwell, was so easy to work with and the gentleman who delivered it to day was also GREAT! He gave my wife and I a comprehensive demo so we feel very comfortable operating the tractor.
We started our research with a different JD distributor and was very disappointed.we went to Smith's Implements completely unannounced with no appointment and Rich took care us immediately.thats customer service at its BEST!

I have been a good customer for 5 years. Have spent more then $8k at this business during this time. Today I received a bill in the mail with the most unprofessional hand written message. I may have overlooked this bill but it wasn’t severely late. I had offered to pay at the time of service and they suggested they bill me. The service manager John is the most unprofessional person, which is bad for business. This man has no clue that relationships are what brings customers and what keeps customers. I will no longer recommend this business. Looking at the reviews now I see good in store service is not something they are known for.
To end in a positive the gentlemen that come out for service at my home are always kind and professional. The management should be more like them.

Frustrating. My mower wasn't working and I replaced the battery. It worked for awhile then had the same problems. I suspected something electrical. I wanted Smith's to look at the electrical parts of the engine. Two weeks later they call and said they changed the battery, replaced a belt, and did a full service on the mower! $441 total price! I didn't ask for any of that work! They never even disclosed this work to me! I would've said no. All I wanted was the electrical to be looked at. They acted surprised when I told them, like I never said that before. Then I saw on the reviews that they have tried this before. I said to undo everything and bring my mower back. They ended up taking off the labor and I just paid for the parts and delivery. All I wanted to do was mow my lawn, not have this headache! Don't go here for service!
