Smokey Bones York

Amanda was excellent and exceptional - she is nice, friendly and professional! The food was cooked to perfection. I wish I lived closer.

We wanted to celebrate my daughter's graduation from nursing school. After the ceremony we decided to have dinner at Smokey Bones. We walked in to the almost empty restaurant. After waiting to be seated for about 10 minutes, while workers were passing us by, someone finally decided to seat us. We sat and waited for a good 15 minutes to be waited on and decided to leave and have dinner somewhere else. There was no reason to have to wait that long as the restaurant only had 2 other tables occupied. The employees made us feel like we were a bother. We will not be going back again!

My first time visiting and had an awesome experience! We had the fried pickles (best I've ever had), baby back ribs, nachos, and cornbread. Everything was delicious! Our server, Jessi, is the absolute BEST!

I absolutely love coming to this restaurant. The food is always amazing, the staff is always super friendly. Our server this evening was Mandy. She was very friendly and got our order in super fast. Nothing but the highest praise for her.

Super awesome date night. Got their dinner for 2 meal they had going on. We got to try a little bit of everything and nothing disappointed! Shout out to our awesome server Charlie for all of the recommendations and super service!

The food here was really good, the service was a little off but maybe we were just there on an off night.over all we had a good experience.

We ordered here tonight with DoorDash our order ended up being taken by the driver. DoorDash didn’t want to make things right so I called into the store and talked to the manager Jason he was extremely friendly and very helpful with my situation. He took the time to listen to my issue and made things right even tho it was no fault of the restaurant. He told me he would remake the order and If I could come pick it up. I explained that I had no vehicle and my husband was at work. He offered to bring me my order after he got off work. Thank you so much Jason for everything! Smokey bones is our families favorite and we will definitely recommend Smokey bones to our family and friends! Thanks again Jason your awesome

Our first trip here and it was wonderful from the beginning to the end. My burger was perfect along with my wife's steak. Will be coming back again with the rest of the family.

The food was very good, waitress was the bartender and she was very good. We had a bacon cheeseburger and the brisket grilled cheese. I would definitely go back.

My son called the restaurant shortly before 6p.m. On Saturday night to ask if there was a wait; he was told there was no wait. We were in the area and hurried over, yet when we arrived about 5 minutes later, we were told there was now a 30-45 minute wait for our party of 8. The hostess explained that as soon as a group (that was visible to us) finished their dinner, the staff would clean up the table and we could be seated. Since they appeared to be well into their meal, we decided to wait it out.
After 45 minutes of waiting, it became clear that the group at the table that we were waiting for was enjoying a post meal chat time, which extended their stay indefinitely. At 6: 55, we asked the hostess if there was any way that they could clear the table. She said it wasn't their policy to ask guests to leave.
Shortly after this time, all but one of the party left, but one man remained at the table playing on his cell phone. When we inquired about how long it would be, the hostess got frustrated and brought her manager over; she addressed us in a very curt way and told us that she wouldn't ask him to leave. At that point, my son asked about splitting us into two tables, and the manager remarked that they had two tables and could do this, but if we were going to be rude, she wouldn't seat us. To this point, aside from being hungry and inquiring why one attitudinal client should be allowed to play on his cell phone and hold up a party of 8, we weren't the ones that were being rude! After this comment, we decided to take our business elsewhere and wound up having a lovely take out meal from Marco's.
Needless to say, everyone in our party of 8 has no intentions of returning to Smokey Bones after this "customer NO SERVICE" experience! I am only leaving one star because it wouldn't let me leave ZERO stars.however that is what the experience really deserved, considering we got ZERO food and ZERO hospitality during an hour of our time that was wasted waiting for a meal that we never got to enjoy.

I purchased a 48 piece chicken wings and tried to change it to 2 28 piece special for a few dollars more and was told it was not possible and then was told it could be done but it became such a hassle that I took my wings and left.

My wife ordered online, then changed the pick up time.not problem for the staff) Then when she got there, Joe the kitchen manager was very helpful. Since we didn't want any sides, just the ribs, we got a better price! The food was awesome but the we'll come back for the customer service.

Living in the south, I am accustom to great BBQ, however this place is by far the best of ANY BBQ I have eaten across the US. Great side and perfect meats. Would highly recommend.

The burger is very delicious.but, be ready to pack on the weight. We were surprised at the size of the burger, but it definitely compensated for the price. It was easy way to pay for lunch (and get a half portion for dinner, free). The food tasted good and I know I'll be back again.

Without a doubt the leanest full rack of ribs or have ever eaten. The dry rub was absolutely delectable. Service was superb and ambiance perfect. Great dining experience. Thank You!

I'm not super picky over my foods, but I've had some great steak and brisket in the past which leads the my lackluster appeal of those foods here. The steak here is okay, but not great. The brisket here is good, but a bit dry. None of it is bad, just okay. The restaurant wasn't very busy and the service was great.

Waited about 5 minutes to be seated while 5 or 6 servers and the manager walked around w/o so much as glancing at us. We were sat by the busser who I guess didnt tell the host or servers we were sat so we sat at our table about 15 min while other servers ignored us- one of which clearly ignored us several times. I flagged one down and got our order in.
The food here is usually amazing here, but. We ordered loaded cheese fries which have a super sweet bbq sauce slopped all over them. Not my favorite but decent. My wife said they were pretty good. The wings (spicy garlic) are usually my go to favorite here but this time tasted like straight garlic out of the jar. Boneless wings were tiny as dog food. They even gave me the little crunchy tird in the bottom of the bag. Kitchen staff arent exactly Harvard grads. I get it. Hard to find good staff. But this place is usually amazing. The wings were dollar general back of the freezer quality. I even told the waitress they were no good after eating 1 and left the other 7 on the plate and still was charged for them.

Surprised by variety of sauces flavors. Large portion, ended up with lunch for the next day. Cocktails was very tasty too.

Excellent service even though they are short staffed! The manager did our order for pickup at noon even though they aren't open until 3pm!
