I have been waiting since Dec. 26 for SS retirement benefits. 6 weeks ago. My hard earned benefits that i am entitled to are still "in review". Cannot get a human being on the phone. 6 weeks waiting for MY money. If there were a Zero star I would pick it.

Make sure you have all the right documents. For a child under the age of 12, you need transcripts from the school or doctor office that shows the child's name and date of birth.

Parking is a rip off of 3.00.

Adding get the app Pango and park on the street. I parked on the street the next day and walked through the parking lot. I was there 15 minutes and paid. 58 cents for parking.

I would give negative stars if that option was available. We live overseas and each year have to complete a form in order to continue receiving SS benefits. The only acceptable way (per the govt) to return the form is international snail mail. In spite of immediately returning the form per their instructions I continue to receive threats in the mail about discontinuing my benefits. I know the form was delivered because it was sent with tracking. I have repeatedly sent copies of the form, incorrectly assuming that at least one would be processed correctly. Apparently not. If you move overseas use a virtual mailbox in the US or a family member's address to avoid this hassle.

MISSING MAIL

I'm not sure if anyone else knows about USPS informed delivery, but here in Texas we can sign up online to have an email sent to us every morning letting us know exactly what's going to be in the mail that day.
I didn't receive a piece of mail from the SSI in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania that was on my informed delivery. I am hoping someone can tell me why I would be getting anything from that office. Never have before and go figure, I STILL haven't.

Unbelievably rude woman named Laura working at the wilksbarre ssa office. Called in for a simple address change and have never dealt with someone so unbelievably incompetent and rude in the same person. Too many job openings out there in different field to keep her in a position, she clearly hates.

I called the 866 phone number today and the operator that received the call was the worst (Laura) in the Luzerne County PA office. She was not helpful and rude. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she would not transfer and said that she couldn't. I hope no one else have to deal with her today. (:

Hot mess! They sent me someone else's personal information including their social security number and the person's spouse's SSI number too. Totally different name and address there were no similarities in their info and mine. I called to tell them about this horrible mistake and breach of security and they ignored me. Imagine who else they did this too?

Then it took me nearly 2 years to make them understand I live nearby not in NY. I filled out the form they sent me 3 times with my current information. I called, I wrote a letter and they continued to mail everything to my mother with a similar but not the same name who resided in NY. I finally gave up and called NY instead. They fixed everything and sent me the form I repeatedly requested from SSI in Wilkes Barre for.

The most unprofessional experience of my life. I have worked in customer service for over 20 years. While I understand the standards are different in concern to a govt agency; mental acuity and service above all still need to be the forefront. Speaking with a woman who identified herself as Nicole, she continually spoke over me, refused to addressed my concerns, and advised me to do things that were illegal in order to obtain my new SS card, for which I had already sent over the required forms and documentation more than 7 weeks ago. She contradicted info provided to me by other agents at both a state and federal level. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or be given a call back, she refused. She then threatened to hang up on me and did so without (as is her legal requirement) giving me information on how to file a complaint or the extension of a supervisor. I hope whoever sees this investigates this individual claiming to act as a govt agent. At the least: unprofessional. At the worst: criminal. Awful experience!

They say it's open from 9-4. But I'm here at 9: 17 and it's closed until further notice due to covid. Just wasted 3 bucks to park. Terrible.
