Social Security Administration, Mt Lebanon PA

I don’t understand how the SS call center can give false information they told me that this office is the only one that do walk in and when I get there to the office that was false information. I was told this twice today that this is the only office that do walk ins Someone needs to update this information. The white lady behind me today had a different circumstance and I apologize not knowing the full story but the guy that I just spoke to from this office informed me there are certain circumstances to not to need a appointment.

Um, wow. That was a shocking experience in the best way possible!

I was expecting the Social Security office to be like going to the DMV, but it was very different. I came without an appointment on a Wednesday afternoon and had all of my documents lined up that I needed because I did some research before hand. Took about 30 minutes for me to be called, but it wasn’t bad at all. Then the guy who helped me out, his name is Benjamin, was not only incredibly professional, but also very friendly. I did not expect this at all. I don’t know what the other employees are like, but I have to say that if all government employees were like this, Benjamin guy the government would be far better off

Worst experience on the phone, this guy just would not listen, he said the same thing over and over, I would try explaining my situation and he talked right through statements, I just wanted to make an in office appointment, and after 10min of arguing with this person, I hung up, go somewhere else.

They are so nice and kind people. Service is fast and pleasant. I went there after going to the one in the downtown (where I didn't get any help) and they helped me to update my information very quick.

They told me I was wrong with the paperwork when i went in, I showed them the website (that is posted in the waiting room) and I had the paperwork I needed. I’m pretty sure the Mount Lebanon location just didn’t want to help me. When I ask to speak with a supervisor he was very rude and said the website is wrong. I went to the Washington location with same paperwork they were great, they help me get in and out and didn’t argue with me once.

Went in without an appointment was met by a very polite securi person, he showed me to kiosk to enter required information. Waited 1 minute was called back to speak with Benjamin. He was very pleasant and helpful! All forms were processed immediately, could not have had a more positive experience.

I’ve been up there numerous times and they still haven’t done the right thing you’re supposed to do so now I will return tomorrow to see if they can fix the problem. They were supposed to fix it for weeks ago and did not fix it.

The security at the entrance was a sulky. The other person did not do his work. He misguided us. I requested to ask manager. Even manager didn’t know how to process. I’m so disappointed!

Who would have guessed there was an office located here? Right next to signage prominently displaying all of the wealth management programs and stock brokers you neglected to consult during your "career" (such as it was).

Can't speak for all of the employees in that office, but the individual who addressed my concerns could benefit from some anger management training classes.

This is the worst place I've ever seen. I'm going for the second time. To change the last name, an old man greeted us, the same person when we saw him for the first time. For the first time, I took his documents, he said, but it wasn't enough, but I took the documents he said! He talks to us so disrespectfully, so rudely…. It is known that professional does not know his job! I had to go to social security downtown and most importantly, they accepted my paperwork, do you believe? Now I will take my paperwork and show it to that worker's manager!

Office is closed indefinitely. You can try to call but I gave up after 20 minutes on hold. They don't want to help you.

Very rude gentleman informed us we did not have all the correct information. I'm sorry we don't all do this every day for a living, maybe be helpful instead of condescending.

I walked in w/o an appointment and was in and out in under 15 minutes. (Shortly after I sat to wait, a half dozen others came in, so my timing was lucky.) The woman who helped me was pleasant, got me a phone appointment to have my questions answered, and gave me the right documents to fill out.
