Soda Jerk Diner & Dairy Bar reviews
16 Will never eat or get takeout from here again! Website difficult to order from and takeout portions skimpy! Never provided the full order and then the “cook” argued with me.
Lots of luck if you order!
Went for dinner on a Friday night and got seated right away. The food was the usual diner fare. We had the chicken croquettes and the fried seafood combo. Both meals were good and the service was great. I would eat here again.
Food was amazing service top notch even on a Saturday morning and they was super busy they didn't skip a beat. Menu full of great choices. You surely won't be disappointed with this stop.
Soda Jerk is a fantastic restaurant with refreshingly retro decor. The food is absolutely amazing with a large variety of options. The staff is nice and hard working. This restaurant has quickly become a favorite for my family.
First time here and the sandwiches were great! The ice cream selections have been scaled back alot and was disappointing.
I was in Hershey for the weekend. So we stopped by for breakfast. We loved the experience and the food was great. Our waitress was nice and bubbly personality. I would definitely go back.
Nice local restaurant. Friendly staff. Good service. Good breakfast. We chose this place over our overpriced hotel restaurant. Glad we did.
Food and price was good and our server CANDIDO was on point. Very polite, positive attitude and very prompt in getting and serving our order despite the dinning rush and all the customer he was attending. Thank you for the great experience. Will be back.
While my visit was overall positive, with decent food and service, I must give a negative review. I paid with a credit card and was "double charged" on my credit statement - one for the price of the meal prior to tipping and one for the price of the meal after tipping. I have called THREE times within the past month, giving space in-between, to try and resolve the issue with the restaurant before getting my credit card company involved. Each time I call I am told there is no available manager and that I may leave my information for contact. I have not been called back in any capacity. In the grand scheme of things, its not that much money and it is supporting waiters/waitresses (hopefully). But it is the principal of the matter. It makes me wonder how many people have been "double charged" unknowingly - especially given the demographic of diners tends to be the elderly. I cannot support this business knowing they do not want to resolve customer service issues and may or may not be actively charging people extra.
Took my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson along with my wife to dinner here after my grand son performed in "12 Angry Jurors" My son & family had been here before and liked it.
We were seated by a very politely and friendly hostess and waited on by a wonderful, friendly and attentive wait person named Savannah.
I had the Roasted Half Chicken Special w/ a sides of Pickled Red Beets and Corn. My wife had the Senior (portion) Crab Cake (fried) and Sweet Potato Fries. I, also, had an Apple Dumpling ala Mode for dessert.
Every thing was delicious. I really like my chicken on the bone and that is getting nearly impossible to find. Pickled Red Beets are my dinner "go to" and these were some of the best. You could tell that the corn was local. My wife loves Crab Cakes; but, they don't always love her. This one was full of crab, easy on the breading and not greasy. She said the Sweet Potato Fries were the best.
There coffee was great, too. Everyone else loved their food. And, as I picked up the tab for some big eaters, I was glad the place was very reasonable.
Good food, fair pricing and great service. Was part of a very large party and every one of us received excellent service. Reccomend
Got seated right away. Had our drinks within just a few minutes & our food came shortly after. Food was good! Service was excellent!
Just OK, not the best meatloaf but works! Also coconut cream pie was frozen dessert! Was more disappointed about that then anything. Not a must return but would if back in area!
Great food and atmosphere. Fast service and a great value considering the cost of venues around Hershey. I would definitely go back again!
I really enjoyed eating here. The staff were very friendly and everyone was happy, like they liked working there! Clean and well lit with typical diner decor and menu. I ordered grilled sea bass from the rotating specials menu and it was delicious. Here on business for the week; I'll definitely eat here again before I leave.
Pretty good food for the price. The place was packed but we got in right away. Seemed clean and still had an open feel.
Our waitress was very nice but there was a slight language gap (she was Dutch or German) which made some items difficult but we got thru.
Con: small parking lot and hardly any spaces.
