Hotel Sofitel Philadelphia reviews
18The personnel could not have been more accommodating and caring during an emotional, joyful, momentous occassion in our lives. They walked us through early check-in and meeting family so graciously and expertly. I truly felt cared for!
Truly one of these most amazing places I've ever stayed. Excellent staff. Great location. Magnificent rooms, and amenities. Looking forward to going back.
Poor service. Dirty room upon arrival. One sheet and comfortor. No top sheet. On business trip doing work. Actually told that all guests had to leave lobby and return to room at 2am. Clown show.
Our suite was perfect. But most of all, the service was AMAZING! Sofitel will be the only hotel we ever choose in Philadelphia!
Good location decent bar and staff. Ends there. Rooms and front desk staff awful. The smell in my room of food was disgusting and I think the unhappy front desk lady placed me directly above the kitchen. NOT a room they should rent. Many better choices close by.
My King deluxe suite ranks as one of my top 3 best hotel rooms. Great layout. Location of hotel met all of my needs - within walking distance to, fun shopping attractions, and a stones throw away from a cvs/walgreens/target. The staff were friendly and always made me smile with their greetings in French. I'd recommend this spot to others.
Last time I was there, it took me an hour to get my car from valet parking. I understand it's a contractor, but they need to deliver service at a level expected at a hotel of this stature, especially when valet parking is charged to the customer and not complimentary when lodging at the hotel.
We booked this hotel last minute. We had booked tickets for Jerry Seinfeld at the Met in the morning and drove around the area. We got a great price on this chic hotel. The valet were super engaging and friendly in their small footprint of space in the Rittenhouse section of Philly. They immediately helped with luggage and were insulted if you helped. They willingly wanted to provide their service. Their signature fragrance as you enter the hotel was lovely. The desk management was equally helpful. They provided us with places to eat prior to the show. We had a room on 11th floor. It was very quiet- in the early morning there were delivery truck sounds from the streets below - unavoidable so higher up reduced the noise. Room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a separate tub and plenty of room on the sink vanity. The hotel bar was also a nice atmosphere. The menu selection for spirits was extensive.
Great location, lots of shops, cafes and restaurants near by. The park is a few minutes’ walk away.
The room was spacious and comfortable. Good facilities and toiletries.
The lady at the frontdesk was fantastic.
We planned a long weekend around the events that were all happening at the same time. This location was center to great walking and shopping and everyone was so nice and accommodating. Will definitely be returning.
First time staying in a hotel that wasn't a Marriott in 20 years. It was a great experience.
Great hotel I always love coming here. However this time I did experience a small problem. Today when using the second floor bathrooms I was in a stall and there doors and walls are floor to ceiling giving you a amazing privacy which who doesn't want that. Well after just a few short mins the lights timed out, yet the motion sensor is in the main part of the bathroom, controlling the one light in each stall. So what are you left with to finish your business, complete and utter, can't see your hand in front of your face, Darkness! This in my opinion a safety hazard with noting.
What can I say, I'm a bit of a poop enthusiast and these toilets are the finest in the land, they smell like fresh fabulouso on a warm spring day, the marble is well appointed and they have two kinds of soap possible one for your bum, and lotion you got it it's a dream for your face. The cloth towels are a nice touch and great for wiping off sweat after a hearty poo. Ah but the personal poop closets c'est Avon, what a magical pooping experience wooden door which goes all the way to the floor, it's your own personal poop shangri-la, with a stainless steel locking mechanism and not one but two roles of.yes two ply hiney hankies I went in a normal man but came out prince Daniel the first of Sofitel heir to the porcelain throne. This was truly a five toilet paper roll experience. This bum has had its share of high class water closets but mark this spot on your map this is a true poopers paradise! Well done
Amazing hotel with the kindest, courteous staff! Great location close to so many places, the city is east walking! Ivan at concierge recommended great places. Highly recommended!
Thank you Sofitel, for this great stay. You’ve made our event a great experience for our attendees. Thank you Bob, Dash, Mohammed, Ivan, Joann, (Scott and Iffy- encore) and Caitlin for helping us in this service. Hope to see you next time.
The only problem I have with this place was the air conditioner the rooms with two hot no matter how low you turn the air conditioning down to
The hotel and its staff present very well. The rooms were very up to date and clean. Staff were extremely friendly and willing assist us. We had an extremely pleasant stay, and it'd be hard for us to stay anywhere else know how nice this hotel is. As a last note, the room service was nice, but there is also MANY restaurants and bars within walking distance.
My husband and I just completed a single overnight stay this past weekend with Sofitel. I honestly cannot say enough about the superb level of service from the staff here. From the concierge, Ivan, going above and beyond to ensure our anniversary was unforgettable and celebrated, to the warmness of the front desk staff at arrival and departure. They truly made a world of difference in our mini-trip. In addition, the hotel was clean, quiet and, while it might seem odd, had fast, functioning elevators (yes, that can be a major issue in the old buildings of Philly). We will absolutely be returning again!
