Somerset East Travel Plaza reviews
14 On the way up to Chicago from New Jersey, this was a great rest area to stop for a quick drink, snack, restroom situation, and some gas.
Really comfortable relaxing, quiet place.
I liked it a lot
This was a really nice stop, thank you
Hey it's a rest stop! It's a very busy rest stop too! That said I can say at least for the men's room it's kept pretty darn clean especially with the amount of traffic I'm sure it sees lol. As far as grabbing a quick drink something to eat it has to Basics friendly people weight isn't too long. One of the better rest stops if you're traveling East on the Pennsylvania Pike, safe travels everyone!
Finally. The restaurants are open again. Typical selection for a service plaza and glad to stop there
Offers plenty of quick food choices to grab and go on a motorcoach trip. Parking is plentiful. Restrooms are clean.
Several of the vendors were closed. One of the reasons we stopped. Hershey's ice cream, Auntie Ann's
Nice place to stop. So sad to find Auntie Annie's was closed.only open on
weekends
I stop here alot! Good parking and the place is clean! I know a few people from going there!
Facility itself is clean, However, if you’re here, everything will be closed for the food after sundown it seems
Clean Restrooms and food. 7-Eleven, Burger King, Popeye's, Sbarro and Dunkin are your main options
Relatively clean for a service plaza. Couple different choices for food. It's a service stop so other than the 7/11 expect the food and gas to be high priced.
Always kept very clean, both in the restrooms and in the other areas. Variety of food and drinks available as well from both restaurants and from the convenience store. Prices are pretty comparable to a grocery store which is uncommon for Turnpike rest areas. Fuel prices are slightly higher than other Turnpike stations but the convenience of being able to get everything else is probably enough to make a single stop
I recently visited a rest area along my journey, and I must say it left quite an impression. The first thing that caught my attention was how well maintained the place was. It was clean, organized, and everything seemed to be in perfect order.
One of the standout features for me as someone interested in technology and environmental sustainability was the availability of electric vehicle charging stations. This is a clear sign that the place is forward-thinking and environmentally conscious, which I greatly appreciate. It's a step in the right direction toward reducing our carbon footprint.
Additionally, as a dog lover, I was pleased to find a dedicated dog relief area. Traveling with furry companions can be challenging, and having a designated spot for them to take a break is a thoughtful touch. It shows that they understand the needs of travelers with pets.
In summary, my experience at this rest area was like a quick stop along a journey that's just beginning. The well-maintained facilities, electric vehicle charging stations, and consideration for pet owners make it a place I would recommend to fellow travelers. It's a testament to the importance of catering to diverse needs and being environmentally conscious in today's world.
