We adopted our puppy, Tuxx, in August of this year and he was three months old. Since the adoption, we have stopped back and Tuxx was greeted with such love! They mad a huge fuss over how big he got and spent time playing with him. Over the last 2 months, I had a few questions in regards to training, behavior, etc. They are very knowledgeable and answer my questions without hesitation. I would recommend SHPR over the other animal shelters and online communities.

Wonderful facility with knowledgeable staff. And you can adopt rescue animals for an affordable​ price.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The dog they gave us was very vicious and tried to attack people and when we returned him we were blamed by the company, swore at, and treated like criminals. They refused to give us our money back and threaten that we would have to take them to court over it. Even their employee said the dog shouldn’t have been adopted out and needs a lot of work. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. It is a MIRACLE this place is even still open. The lady who does the adoptions is clueless and nobody cares about the dogs. The dog we had gotten was thrown in a cage with other dogs straight out of surgery and they ripped his incision open. Just utter carelessness. Avoid this place at all costs

Nick is fabulous. I had an issue with my dog & sent him to doggie boot camp, when I picked him up a month later, he was a different dog, very relaxed and easy to walk compared to the dog I'd dropped off a month earlier who pulled me every day. I highly recommend this place, these people are dedicated to improving the life of the dog & you.

We adopted the most beautiful baby from this rescue! The owner is so friendly and committed to her work; a truly tremendous woman. Also, the trainer talked with us for an hour about how to properly introduce our new family member to our kitten and answered every question we had! We were always encouraged to call if we had any additional questions and whenever I had one, it was always answered immediately! What a wonderful rescue located on a beautiful piece of property. They really are the best rescue I have ever been to and I would highly recommend them to anyone searching for a new furry baby!
