South Mountain Cycle & cafe reviews
23The people in this store are very kind and helpful and knowledgeable about bike parts! Thank you for helping us!

Nice staff. Especially Derik. Really nice decorated place too. Lots to choose from. And the cafe smells great!
To start, this was probably the best customer service and buying experience I’ve had in my entire life. I’m writing this review about 8 months after my purchase because I owe it to the owners Heather & Chad, and their team to write a review. I called last year to see if they had any Giant Fathom or Giant Stance mountain bikes in stock after calling about 10+ other shops in the Lehigh Valley and Poconos. Heather informed me that they had just gotten a few in and that I could come check them out. This was my first experience buying a mountain bike (owned BMX bikes in the past) and they couldn’t have been more helpful! It turned out they had a new 2021 Stance 2 in my size. Heather informed me that the bike needed to be built and that the mechanic could have it built in a couple hours! I came back, tried out the bike after they assured me there was no pressure to buy it despite having it built for me in a short time. I ended up loving the bike and also purchased a bike rack for my car as well as a helmet and a few other accessories. I couldn’t be happier with the service and vast knowledge that these people have of the cycling world. From this point on, if I need anything bike related, I will be supporting this amazing local business! Thanks again guys!
Excellent customer service and super friendly staff. The ONLY bike shop in the Lehigh Valley where you can schedule service and not have to "drop your bike off and wait 2 to 3 weeks" until the bike shop gets around to looking at it for service. Two other bike shops closer to my house lost out on my business for not being able to schedule service.and we have three bikes in the family.
SMC is one of the best businesses in downtown Emmaus. They are my go-to cycle store. Chad and Heather have done an incredible job building this business.
I'm new to the area and love the atmosphere of this place. The coffee selection is great and the barista their are always super friendly. Great place to get coffee, chill out and stroll through the amazing selection of bikes.
Best cafe in the LV! Never disappointed and always make a trip when I’m visiting home to get a latte! Excellent service and quality!
The bathrooms at this establishment should strike a nerve with more customers. For a place that sells food and drink, I don’t know how you can pass a health inspection. I think any gas station bathroom would top the cleanliness chart compared to this dump.
I am very happy with my Cannondale that I Purchased there three years ago. I’ve been getting it tuned up at various places and I just took it back to south mountain for a tuneup and it rode and shifted just like new again. In addition I got it back very clean. No other shop ever cleaned the rims and tires up. The chain was sparkly clean as well.
Alright, so I know this isnt the “main part. ” But their Iced Coffees & Frappes Are So Good!
Words cannot express the gratitude we have for this AMAZING company. My son absolutely LOVES his new bike and I cannot believe I actually walked out of the store with it!
If you want the BEST SERVICE EVER, shop at South Mountain Cycle.
God bless you, Heather.
Went in because I was having some pain while riding Bob took a look at my set-up and riding position, gave me really helpful information, helped adjust my set-up, provided some spacers, adjusted my front rack to help me with flats/taking the front tire off, and even helped me with my car! Great shop, great workers!
This place is amazing! My husband and I bought our bikes there today. They were so friendly and knowledgeable! We were able to test out the bikes and they gave us great advice for beginner riders. They even helped entertain our 2 crazy 4 year old boys while we were trying everything out. Bob also delivered our bikes to our house after they closed for the day. We can't thank them enough! Definitely recommend this place for any beginner or advanced rider!
I want to give this place a 10! Small, local shop that knows the meaning of amazing customer service. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and great prices. Go there.
Not a large store, but very friendly and helpful staff. They have the essentials in terms of bike maintenance, but not much more. The coffee bar is also a nice touch. If you are looking for a bike or maintenance help (or coffee), a stop in is recommended.
As a causal rider looking to get serious about biking, this shop is the place to go. The staff is extremely helpful. They even have a sizer cycle in shop.
Their cafe settled into the shop is also unique using bike components as decorations. It's all merged so wonderfully. Further, you need to get their cheese pocket. It is delicious!
The area it is located is also very charming to make a whole afternoon of the trip!
The experience was unique I went in with my wife just to look around dress like crap told the person did not have to much money he let me test drive 3 bikes at the end I pick one that was under my budget no pressure to buy very helpful I felt like I knew this guy's for years felt right home. I bet some where else I would of been Judge this guy's treated me and my wife like stars Thank you so much
I wouldn't go anywhere else for anything biking. Staff is always friendly and immensely helpful for all ages - kids to adults. Their eats are pretty good too!
These guys are top notch when it comes to bikes and taking care of their customers. They keep the vibe cool and fun as well. Dog friendly. Cats, maybe? Coffee is hit or miss, but a nice added amenity.
