South Park Game Preserve reviews
14Nice quiet place to walk around and see the ducks, buffalo, peacocks, turkey, and whatever happens by. Nice paved paths to get around the area. The parking area is across a road from the preserve area on a rather sharp bend, so take care crossing! So nice to see little ones learning and enjoying the space too.
This was one of my favorite places to visit since I moved to Pittsburgh years ago, but the duck pond seems to need some TLC these days. Doesn't seem to be as much activity in the duck pond area as previously. The pond behind the bridge just looks horribly dirty. Still wondering what happened to the large amount of ducks that used to roam this pond. It was fun watching them all walk and swim around. Now there are hardly any around. Hopefully they put some money into this area soon and give it a much needed renovation.
Pretty mucky ponds. Tons of poop on the walkways. No Buffalo to be seen
Still a nice time to walk around for a short bit and look at the 3 peacocks and a rooster:)
Used to love seeing the ducks. Now it's a smelly.swampy, filthy pond of sludge. With no ducks
We come here often. It is a nice place to get the kids out walking to see the animals. There are ducks, turtles, peacocks, a rooster, and buffalo!
A wonderful place of peace and tranquility for grown up and wonder for children as they learn about tatonka.
Just a great close little getaway. People usually for the most part really do 25mph thru the park. Thats really nice. Alot of deer.
Cannot stress enough, a great place to spend time with the toddler age range. Older kids might very well like the game preserve too, but when you're having a day with your toddler and don't know what else to do with them - take them to the game preserve. Watching the ducks swim alone can kill 30 minutes of your day, allowing you enough time to (hopefully) regain your sanity.
Here, stress simply does not survive. Watch the geese, ducks and turtles. Listen to the sprinkler. Sit amongst the trees. Just be. South Park Game Preserve just might be the closest thing to a healing vortex that we have in Pittsburgh!
I love if here. It is so peaceful. And there are such beautiful animals here. There's peacocks, a pea hen, ducks, turkeys and even some American bison. If you want a peaceful respite in the heart of South Park, come by the Wildlife preserve. I promise you won't regret it!
Lots of ducks and an amazing peacock? Fluffing it's pretty feathers inside a fenced yard. We missed seeing the Buffalo and the baby Buffalo. Hopefully, we'll see them next time.
Nice little area to get out and see some ducks geese and turtles. It was hot and the bison were up higher in the pasture. Lots of bird poop. Not really much to see but a.pretty landscape.
Not very many animals to see anymore. The Bison are cool but other than a peacock, ducks and geese, nothing much to see.
My father used to take me here when I was little and now I enjoy taking my children here and they enjoy it too
