I gave a one star because it doesn't allow you to give 0. We applied back in June and have been flip.flopping back and fourth with April. And since Aug. 26th still no word. They accept anyone and everybody's application fee but after a few months I still see some of the same places for rent and at 65k a year there is no reason. And they have yet to give an explanation other than application was denied. I would not recommend this company what so ever and pay the application for village reality or elite. My dad worked as a short term maintenance guy and was told to paint over the roaches so this outcome is no surprise in finding a place with this company.

Listen to every bad review. Renting from these people was the worst mistake of my life. In their lease they make it so you can’t hang things (our windows had no blinds no curtains and no privacy). The drop ceilings hide mold and damage (don’t worry- they thought of that too. In the lease they make themselves not liable for mold). When they don’t provide the appliances they promise in the lease they told us our only option was to be cut from the lease and move out. Any issue we had with the house was not properly solved. Their only maintenance crew is someone not actually trained, not certified, and unprofessional. FLAMES shot from the light fixture and their solution was to replace the bulb and leave us with a broken outlet.
I know their response will be “you’re not in our system, sorry! ” But this is on purpose. If you check other negative reviews they will lay out their customers personal business and life. Disgustingly unprofessional and horrifying to know they don’t respect their tenants privacy.
Edit: this is for the PA business. Also “slander” refers to something false. In this case every review and everything I’ve said is deserved. Either the business owner is delusional or a vile liar.

As everyone also reviewed this place will lie to you and has no professionalism! You have to pay $40 to even ask questions! You know this place is sketchy when their own employees talk negatively about it outside of work!

We been in our place for almost 4 years. Southern management has been good to us and the landlord is quick to response to them and get things done.

I have been through difficult times of late since Nov.of 2022. I had to make some very hard decisions regarding my property and animals. Stella was such a great help in bringing it all together for me. She understood what I was going through. She was professional and compassionate all at the same time. I cannot thank her enough.

Rental property does more investigation than the police department. When and after you meet all requirements and still deny you after they have all your information with a perfect credit score, something fishy going on

To Southern management response. I applied at 222 Charles Towers which is your location. Baltimore, Maryland. I spoke with the rude management company that is clearly unknowledgeable as well.

The crazy part the people sitting in the office, don’t even make 3 times the rent! The petitions are out! If your bathrooms and kitchen are not up to date, rent can’t be no more than 1100! And the apps collecting all these application fees will also be done!

They provide very little information and photos of the houses, apartments or studios. For everything else they are great.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Southern management is extremely discriminatory, even requiring you to have a middle class income for A SLUM.

If you inquire from them you will be given a run around with each person you talk to giving you a different story.they're buissness practices are also dirty, they manage slums making the rent skyrocket, and then make it next to impossible to get a place.

Iv rented for 700+ a month problem free for years only to be told now "I am unable to afford the rent"

Being a property owner in York county or a potential renter we are fortunate to have Stella and her team as they are providing and improving the infrastructure of our community. Stella has always impressed me. Her readiness willingness and standby is standing out to me. She truly cares! She’s empathetic and strives to solve issues. She is up to date with knowledge, advice and action and suggests a preventative route but also is on the job when acute action is necessary. Location, homes and units vary and every individual expresses their preferences. Stella and her team listens and identifies and meets those needs in our community.

This rental company has been Awesome for me!
Over Christmas I was one of the many without power due to a tree falling and it taking Met Ed an extended amount of time for the repair.
I had an unbelievable amount of stress on my plate.
Chelsea from maintenance actually checked in with me and actually was going to bring me a generator just so our family could have power. She honestly just doesn’t know how much that truly meant to me. They had their HVAC people right there to help due to my pipes being frozen.
I am a single parent and just the fact that they all went out of their way for myself and my family just makes me feel that even though I am alone I have support and I just want all of the people whom work at this office to know You guys are the best!

The owner is a bully, liar, very aggressive, disrespectful, and temperamental person, who makes her own laws and throws her weight around and does nothing to the harassing landlords or anything to help you. The so-called business needs to be shut down and the low rating is being too generous. It deserves a negative star rating.
