On any giving day READING TERMINAL IS BOOMING! BUT this day it was pretty good, I got 2 cheesesteaks that were their own individual confusion, and the 3rd traditional Saltpeppaketchupfriedonionsandmayo, ifykyk. Buddy handled our orders expeditiously while conversing and was friendly while doing so, and my daughter enjoyed the chopping of the steak. So any one in town looking for a cheesesteak location and your in the neighborhood check them out they're worth the time.

We got the Royale and it was a large sized philly cheesesteak. The steak itself was great, thinly sliced and abundant. The cheese was a bit much but with the fries it was quite balanced. The fries were hot and fresh, we had some before bringing it elsewhere - definitely recommend eating it asap. One cheesesteak and fries is enough for the two of us. The service was great, they were busy but made sure you were looked after.

Stand in line to pay for 30 minutes. Stand in line to receive Cheese Steak for 30 minutes. Notice your order is wrong. Wait 30 minutes for replacement order. All this for a Meh Cheese steak for $20.

And Wiz on a Cheese steak shouldn't be a knife smear on the buns.

I prefer Spataro’s cheesesteak in Reading Terminal to the “iconic” Geno’s one. The former was pretty straightforward but enjoyable and piping hot off the grill. The latter was VERY disappointing, especially temperature wise: lukewarm at best. Next time I return to Philly, I will return to Spataro’s (since 1947) and order a classic cheesesteak and add Xtra grilled onions and Xtra Whiz.

I've tried many versions and this is top notch up there with John's Roast Pork. Do not miss this one at the Reading Terminal Market is so fresh and delicious down to the perfectly cut and flavored sauteed onions along with the fresh, soft, perfect chewy textured bread. Generous size too. Try the classic with wiz, sauteed onions, and muchrooms.you will not be dissapointed.

I'm not from Philly, but grew up visiting eastern PA a few times every year. The cheesesteaks at Spataros are among the best I have ever had, the service was great and the atmosphere at reading terminal market is amazing. A Philly must-see, for sure. The rolls here were fresh and delicious, the steaks were masterfully prepared, greasy and cheesy and delicious. A little on the spendy side, but worth every penny. Got the basic steak with American cheese and one with fixin's. Cheesesteaks are deceptively tricky to get just right and Spataros nailed it! 10/10, would recommend. Thanks Spataros!

I don’t know what happened with people who gave this place lower views, but for me this was amazing. It’s my first Philly cheesesteak, people who had a bad experience need to give it a second chance.

Long line and good cheese steak. It did not disappoint. First Philly cheese steak here and the classic was juicy. Wish it had more mushrooms, especially since it’s extra cost.

Yuck. Probably the worse, greasiest, flavorless, soggiest cheesesteak (very little cheese, fyi) I have ever had…. Plus cold fries. Why we fell into this tourist trap is beyond me. Do not compare a philly cheesesteak to this greasy, soggy mess.

Had one cheesesteak with provolone cheese, bell peppers, onions, sweet pepppers. Great taste, great service, Its one of the best places in Philly for a real cheesesteak! Its worth the wait in line.

Meat and onions were too well done for my taste. The onions themselves were even slightly burned. There was very little cheese in this cheesesteak. Wouldn't go back. Don't waste your money - there are so many other options nearby.

It’s always a must to stop by Spataro’s. Make sure you know what you want to order to help continue the efficiency of the workers turning out hundreds of meals a day.

A solid meal to fuel up for Philly adventures!

Went to five different places in phili for cheesesteak you can call it a cheesesteak crawl including genos and pats and this place topped them best cheesesteak I’ve ever had highly recommend if you’re in the Philly area before you try pats and genos

Had the classic cheesesteak with onions and wiz. Also had some fries. Probably the best I have had in that area. Granted, I have only had three. The market was awesome. The atmosphere was good. Was there on Superbowl Sunday so there was a bit of energy in the air!
