Off season visit you can tell the employees are tired of dealing with people. Ask anything and they respond like they are doing you a favor. And that's if they don't hang up on you. Resort fee is ridiculous. They give you wrist bands that do absolutely nothing. Rooms need attention. Tubs are peeling and you need a step ladder to get in and out

I went here with my family for my birthday but we ended up going to another water park because they changed the hours like an hour before we got there and they didn’t tell any of the people who were there or bought tickets and we went to there ONLY restaurant for dinner and big surprise they changed the menu without changing it online worst day ever.

Way too old building. Smells like mold everywhere. Our rooms was renovated partially but was not enough.

I'd rate the Split Rock hotel (Town Center) somewhere between 2 and 3 stars: three stars because this is a quiet area with several attractions that appeal to families (cinema, bowling, water park, indoor & outdoor pools, arcade, etc.), and two stars because the facility is dated, in poor condition, and poorly equipped. The bedding was uncomfortable. The seating was even more uncomfortable. The kitchen was ill-equipped. We prefer to do our own cooking, and we had to keep requesting potholders, an oven baking sheet, paper towels, dish soap, and more. Laundry facilities are off-site at another location. The bathroom towels and washcloths were so old, dingy, and threadbare! We were here a week and had to keep requesting clean towels. The second bathroom was incredibly tiny. Moving around in there was a challenge. The window blinds in the smaller bedroom were inoperable, so trying to sleep with so much light coming in from the corridor was nearly impossible. (The attached photos were taken at 2am with no flash. I could have read a book in that light!) We had already requested to be moved to a different suite once because the a/c was not working in the first one. We traveled here with friends on a timeshare points exchange, and we've stayed at nicer resorts for much fewer points. We will not be back.

Our experience was excellent from the moment of reservation. With the young Sarai, very attentive with a spirit of service, our family was delighted so much that I recommended another family with the surname Barreiro and they already went to the hotel which they also loved, JUST one observation, the check-in was super slow but afterward everything was very good

Very Horrible, I don't recommend this place for kids, the water is shocking cold in this indoor water park. Their website shows they open at 10am but were closed until 12: 30pm which is just not right because it's a big place so they should be able to update their operating hours. They hire out the park for event and not mention it anywhere until you reach there and they tell you so you can wait until the parties are over for tou to go inside.

After a 2 hour drive to split rock i visited this resort about two weeks ago arrived took two hours to check in.only to find out want to the water park was unavailable due to a large group of people who reserved it, which I was unaware of before I booked. Saturday also tried to attend the waterpark was delayed getting into another large group that had reserved also not aware of this, then waterpark shut down early due to shortage in lifeguard supposedly my family spent 2,000$ for this weekend we will NEVER book with them again! I have a huge platform on social media and i will certainly be posting my experience there.

As a timeshare owner we’ve seen the property change some for the good and some for the bad. This place could be way better if they do significant upgrades that matter and put attention and care into common areas that are used the most.

The room furniture was updated but the bathroom tub, toilet and sink could use a major upgrade. The toilet smells like it’s backed up. The kitchen cabinets were just painted but the stove is ancient and the fridge stinks. The popcorn ceiling is falling apart and in need of repairs.

In prior years upon checkin we would receive information regarding weeks activities and resort bucks for timeshare owners. Now you are forced to sit through a timeshare presentation to get the amenities that should be automatically given seeing as though you require maintenance fees and now in addition resort day fees. That is really unfair

The resort- town center has improved but again some areas need major attention.
The pool is HORRIBLE! This is probably the most used area and it smelt like feet and rotten eggs. I didn’t smell one drop of chlorine in the pool. The water was filthy, the kiddie pool was hot and the hot tub jets were broken. If it weren’t for our kid we would have never gone in. We only used it one day and spent two days at the water park instead.
The movie theater area is just ok. The chairs are newer but half are broken and you have to lower the seats down in the row in front of you for your kid to see the screen. The concession stand is undergoing a renovation so that’s understandable.
I used the gym which has improved significantly (new equipment) but the thermostat was broken and at 83 degrees. I asked a staff member to help adjust it and they never did.
Common area bathrooms need attention and the toilets are also outdated. Every bathroom we went in either stunk or something was broken.

They certainly need more activities for the younger kids. Seeing we would have spent more time at the pool but it wasn’t clean

Food- we only ate at Lake view tavern night one which now serves Mexican. The food was really good and that’s probably the best thing on this resort, besides the staff. We also ate at Tabacchi! Although a little more on the expensive side for quick bites it was pretty good.

Staff- the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful for the most part. We played bingo, trivia and karaoke a few nights and we loved the staff. The Tibacchi staff were also really nice and friendly. That’s probably the best part of this resort. You can tell they want the resort to improve but management has to take initiative.

Suffice to say we made the best of our stay but this resort needs a lot of work and attention. No way you can ask anyone to join a timeshare or upgrade when you have areas that need lots of work. We won’t ever return!

I love bringing the family to Split Rock. It’s great for younger kids. Prices are great during off season.

Seems since the new company took over, the timeshare fees are outrageous when you have an additional payment to get in. The food prices are crazy. Bowling is $10. A person and $10 a game. Outrageous!

Resort running down. Nothing much for kids. Indoor pool just ok. I see no improvement from my last visit. Outdoor pool closed. Breakfast buffet trimmed down also. I don't see much future of this resort.

Excellent location for a family vacation. Things to do close by like indoor water park, bowling, movies. The outlets are not too far away if you want to shop. The house provided a closeness to nature. We saw deer and a bear right in the back! I would recommend to anyone looking for a laid back, rustic place to stay.

This is the third time coming here and we absolutly recommand this place. The pool and water parks are amazing. There are arcades and bowling that our kids really enjoy. We especially appreciate Miklos helping us whenever we needed it.

I am not pleased to say that this place has truly gone downhill from when I last stayed. My family has had a time share here for about ten years. When I stayed here as a young teenager, I truly enjoyed the place. Awesome water park, pool, beach by the lake with a DJ, outdoor activities, overall lots of stuff to keep you busy. When I returned this weekend with my family as an adult, it felt like the place was a shadow of it's former self. The first thing I noticed was the quality of of the resort. Everything was very outdated with a musty smell, it hasn't been updated at least since I've been there last. But they'll gladly take $200 for bringing a pet, I wonder where that money is going towards.

When we first arrived we tried the "Bistrofusion", while I don't expect hotel lobby food to be the best, I would definitely suggest going out to eat to try some of the surrounding restaurants, it'll be a better bang for your buck and I'll just leave it at that. When it came to the rooms, it was disappointing. The beds were very uncomfortable, you may as well have been sleeping on the pillow covers because the pillows felt like they were filled with at max ten feathers, your head went right through them. While all of this isn't great, I can bare with it because at least it was clean enough. What disturbed me the most was that my stepson had been sleeping with a blanket that was literally stapled together. (see attached photo). I found this unacceptable and frankly dangerous, I'm glad the child sleeping with this blanket wasn't injured in any way.

Our experience outside the resort wasn't much better either. The outdoor beach area wasn't nearly as alive as it used to be, no one swims in the lake anymore. The bartender was rude and pushy, encouraging my spouse to chug her drink and pushing her to buy some $20 cheap cup that I could probably find at the dollar store. I was really looking forward to going down the yellow slide with the giant raft with my family, I remembered it being awesome and the highlight of my last trip. To my dismay, it was shut down, as was the surf simulator. The arcade and bowling alley were equally as underwhelming, everything was so much smaller yet still very pricy to enjoy some basic arcade games I could find at my local Dave & Busters for a much better price and overall experience.

If you're like me and your family also has a time share here, the most redeeming quality of the place is certainly the outdoors and the hotel guests staying there. We enjoyed some nice drinks at the bar in the hotel lobby, the older bartender was a gentleman, personable, and frankly way less creepy. It was fun to hear everyone in the lobby singing karaoke as the night went on. The hotel guests and locals at the surrounding restaurants were truly very friendly. Despite my negative experience at the beach bar, the view of Lake Harmony there was truly beautiful and it's a very pleasant change of scenery if you're someone like me who's most adjusted to a city/suburban lifestyle. I am under the impression Split Rock is under new ownership, and for the sake of all timeshare holders I hope they update the place, fix what is broken, and make everyone feel they're getting their moneys worth. As of now, Split Rock isn't worthy of the title "Resort".

If I was able to do zero stars I would have. This was a complete waste of money. My family was staying at the lodge and attempted to use the indoor pool which we were told we cannot due to a family reunion. So we went out to their beach with the only clean section of the beach being where the family reunion was, the rest was covered in goose feces. I had to go find cleaning services to get towels as our room wasn't touched. We went and bought toilet paper and trash bags for our room. Half the attractions in the water park weren't working but they'll still gladly take your money with no notices attractions weren't running.
The staff doesn't seem to have any training or ability to make decisions as check in takes forever because everyone needed the manager to run back and forth to help them. They offer a shuttle service from their various locations on the resort, if they show up after you alert someone you would like to use it. We ended up leaving early, the was the best part of our stay.
I wouldn't recommend this to any one, we have spent a lot less money for a much more enjoyable time in the Poconos.
