Sports World Specialties reviews
6The person that I talked to was extremely ignorant would not ever do business with this place
I am highly… impressed with the personal shopping experience. Purchased 2 items which were perfect as described, delivered on time and expertly packed. All questions and even those unasked by me were thoroughly addressed.
A faithful fan!
Dan Means is a scammer. Sells refurbished items as "mint, all original" & purposely deceives buyers. Really a black eye for collectors. Avoid and lets put him out of business
I found this place through the James Spence Authentication (JSA) events page. I needed to have an autographed item evaluated for a fundraiser. Heading to Pittsburgh was my most timely option but not the most convenient. I corresponded multiple times with Dan, the owner, in advance of my visit. He was very responsive but a man of few words. Upon arrival, I found my way to the JSA rep for the authentication service I needed. While in the queue waiting for their judgement, I asked for Dan, fully expecting a curmudgeon based on a few of the reviews I had read here. Turns out he’s not that old or rude after all. He’s just efficient. And knowledgeable. And kind…if you give him a chance. I left with everything I needed and more. Great collection, held by a real character. Worth the trip!
Just visited Sports World Specialties today for the first time. Dan, the owner, agreed to come in on his day off and meet with us. He has a phenomenal collection of memorabilia and stadium artifacts. Purchased some Forbes Field seats, and Dan couldn’t have been more helpful and knowledgeable about them. He even helped load the seats in our truck including finding some foam to help cushion and protect them. Had a great overall experience and look forward to doing business with him again.
The owner has no customer service skills. He was more worried about a light bulb than he was the one customer in the store asking for help. On the way out neither he or his wife said goodbye.
