Gym rats drop weights constantly despite the posted rule against it on the wall. I have spoken to staff 3 times but they are unwilling to enforce their rule.

I am writing this review to complain about needing a separate membership to access the pool area. I went to the Y one day to play on the playground with my sons (3 and 6). I was informed by the people on the playground that I had to walk around to gain access tp the playground because the outside access was locked. The other way to access the playground is to walk through the pool area. I went to do this with my boys. I was stopped by two female workers that informed me that we could not use the playground during pool hours because I did not have a pool membership. I explained to them that my boys just wanted to play on the playground. One worker rudely responded that she couldn't let us in because we MAY just go into the pool instead of playing on the playground. I found her to be extremely rude and not empathetic. My 3 year old was crying that he wanted to play on the playground. We were dressed in street clothes and I was not carrying any bags whatsoever. I think it is completely unfair to limit access to the playground because we do not have a pool membership. I also think that requiring a separate membership for the pool is absurd.

This location does have a great pool however the rules are all over the place one day I’m told it’s fine for me to help my 7 year old daughter practice for her swim test outdoor then another time I come in told we need to go indoor to practice the fact you now have yo pay a separate fee on top of your membership ti use the outdoor pool I should be able to help her practice out there not only that I have had staff at the front desk act like they didn’t see me standing right in front of them 1star for the staff and for the inconsistency of rules

Is a wonderful place to have in this area. It gives people a place to go and exercise and swim in comfort. Wonderful place always clean and friendly. If you have not been here you should be.

An American childcare organization does not have pencils on hand? This isn't the third world. So shocked my son couldn't get a pencil in the childcare to do his summer school work. We pay a lot of money for the family membership and they don't have basic supplies.

The indoor swimming pool is freezing and the hot tub is warm. People joke that it's like take a warm bath at home. The outdoor pool is at least $300 per family per summer and that also doesn't include your monthly membership fee. It's hard to justify the price of membership when the indoor pool is cold!

After being a member for years, the y required a separate pool membership for the summer. We paid it and tried to enjoy the pool yesterday. Every life guard had different rules my kids were to follow and were not enforcing them on other kids. It's one thing to require additional membership but to require different rules with no consistency when they are enforced is so frustrating. Their training really needs to be co sistent. It makes me concerned for the safety of my children. If the rules aren't even consistent how can we be sure that their life saving training is consistent.

Minimal family swim hours. Monday - Thursday, if you have school-aged kids, you can only swim between 7: 45- 8: 30 pm. Kids are supposed to be sleeping around this time.

In terms of services supplied by this location and it's satellites? I recommend them. If one is inquiring as to the conditions and staff on the limits of their employees with the YMCA before/after school day care? Well they certainly take care of their charges (the children) well but as for staff-to-staff considerations if one is Autistic? I would not recommend working for this location. But again, the services and especially the outdoor aquatic area were top notch.

My schedule has changed and I have to use the gym after dinner. I find the general attitude is if you are on the machine doing multiple sets or more it is standard practice to have other members wait. You can have groups or individuals tie up a station for over 20 minutes each. You end up moving between first available machine rather than a planned workout. Between sets they are on cells or talking.

After a couple of requests to share between sets I learned from management that there is no rule for controlling a machine for much of a night. You should add to your rules another line, if another member is waiting for the equipment to limit the number of sets left to one or two. I believe that is reasonable and sharing would make it a better experience for all, rather than the few.

It's very disappointing they have kids watch tv in the child watch. One of the reasons I joined was for my kids and me to be more active. They have a lot of workers, so why can't they turn off the screens? I have gone to other YMCAs in Philadelphia that don't use any devices. They also allow kids to bring ipads. Child watch also closes at 7: 45 pm, which is when the fitness classes are also over. You'll need to leave your class early.

Agree if your low income or have joined thru your insurance good luck their will always be an issue or somehow u owe money I advise keep your receipts for everything
And if you have kids the activities offered are early Am or times when kids at school as well as open swim times are joke I always have to find myself going to other yMCAs in area that are out my way to accommodate. I feel like they want to push out certain people spring valley I’m disappointed and get it together
