I have been going to Springfield Animal Hospital for years for my emergency care (we go to the clinic for all routine), we have always been happy. However, I am BEYOND happy after my visit last night with the new Doctor on board, Dr. Mann. It was my first time meeting him and I was blown away by both him and ALL of the staff. I don't know where the negative reviews in regards to the front desk staff came from, because they are amazing, friendly, and patient, yes they are busy! Anyway, my dog Pepe had a stroke and I followed up with Dr. Mann post ER to find the underlying cause. He squeezed us in the day we got home from the hospital, because I had concerns in regards to Pepe's breathing.even though we were squeezed in, Dr. Mann still spent hours making sure he was thorough with all of his tests. He also gave him acupuncture to help with his stiffness, and believe it or not, it actually worked! My bill was high and he totally worked with me and my pet insurance, to take the stress of all the medical bills off me so I can focus on rehabbing my baby. The Doctor gave me his personal cell number to call in case of an emergency through the night, and the front desk staff even checked on us later than night. I am blown away by the empathetic care that BOTH my pet and I received from Dr. Mann and ALL of his staff. I will never go anywhere else for problematic visits for any of my pets.

Just changed ownership and the new vet, Dr. Mann is friendly, caring and very knowledgable. Dr. Mann also is very accomplished in holistic medicine for your pet and will help you keep your loved one safe and healthy for a long time.

I have been going to Springfield Animal hospital since 1979. I just found out Dr. Potynski is no longer there. Dr. Mann? Is new owner. I requested heartguard. My dog takes it all year round and was just there in June and had his shots and told did not need blood work cause he does take it year round heartguard. Vet never called me after I called Pet Meds to order his heartguard and could not get it. Front receptionist never gave his name when answering the phone. Need to find a new vet.

I've been taking my pets here since we first moved to the area in 2013 and have always loved the staff. I was sad and nervous when I found out that Dr. P had sold the practice, but I've been there twice since then and Dr. Mann is wonderful. We had to put down our beloved 12 year old dog and everyone was so kind and caring.

Excellant care! We have been coming to Dr P fir years and she is one of the best drs I've ever known. Very thorough, very compassionate and kind and we are seen in a timely fashion. The techs do a fabulous job and I am so grateful. Dr P is a very intelligent person and she has a wonderful bedside manner. I would t go anywhere else. Five stars all around!

We have been using Springfield as a vet for a long time, and they are the only place our dogs like to be kenneled. Dr. Potynski is great, and the staff does a great job.

I love Springfield Animal Hospital! They do everything they can to help your beloved pet! At the same time they don't make you feel guilty or judge you and are very understanding! They don't try to rob you like some other place's. Very nice people

DON'T TAKE YOUR PET HERE if you value a veterinarian (Laureen Pottynski) that cares about you, the customer, has integrity about their business practice, and takes accountability for their staffs communication or lack of communication (Zire Fore - don't know if that is his correct name as he didn't want to give me his name). Laureen literally said to me" I've been in this practice for 24 years and I don't care if you're unhappy"! I made an appointment a couple of weeks ago to have my dog spayed and was available to work around any day of the week except Friday. Zire gave me an appointment for surgery today (Monday) and told me to bring in my dog in at 10am. No other instructions. He gave me a cost estimate of $285.00. I called this morning to see if I could feed her and was told no, which I expected, but was given no information about how to prepare her for surgery. I arrived with my dog at 10 and was then told by Zire that the vet hadn't gotten back to him and he needed to check on the estimate. In a few minutes, he told me the bill would be around $360.00 (30% higher than what he told me). I was already there with my pet, so agreed to the charge but was not happy. I told him if he wasn''t sure in the beginning, he could have checked and called me back. He did apologize, but he wasn't paying the extra! He told me that my dogs surgery would be at 12: 00 and they would call me afterward to let me know how she was doing. He said if I hadn't heard by 3, to give them a call and they would check on her. I called at 3 and he said that she hadn't had surgery yet because of an emergency, but was going in at that time and would be out by 3: 30. He then called 15 minutes later and said that I could come pick her up and bring her back tomorrow or they would do her surgery after the emergency. I didn't understand and asked if this was a second emergency that had just come in. He said no, the emergency patient had just come in (so why did he tell me the emergency had come in earlier to delay her surgery to begin with?). I asked him to have the doctor call me when she was finished with her emergency patient. She called around 4 and already had an attitude. I said about 2 sentences before she interrupted me. I told her to go ahead and do my dogs surgery this evening and she said that she didn't want to do it later - that she had other patients scheduled until late. What happened to her committment to the schedule she gave me and my dog who had waited all day? Shouldn't my pets surgery come next before the evening patients? She didn't want to do it and told me she didn't care if I was unhappy. No apology. No accountability. Didn't want to listen to what I had to say and try propose a solution. I do understand about emergencies and told her I would want care for my dog should something happen, but that shouldn't mean that she shouldn't care about other patients that had waited. I ended up going to pick up my dog - no surgery and very upset. The doctor didn't even come out to talk to me in person when I came. THERE ARE OTHER CARING, WONDERFUL VETS OUT THERE. LAUREEN IS NOT ONE!

Called in for local trainer recommendations for my puppy, the guy that answered told me to not waste my money because dogs can't be trained to behave and need to be controlled through choke/prong collars and domination. Yeah.definitely not going to take my family pet here.

I called this hospital as an emergency and even though they were pretty packed they found the time to see my dog which is very ill. Once i got there the receptionist was very friendly. Even though the wait period was a bit long i went in at my appointment 6: 00 to come out at 8: 20pm just for a fluid shot and xray. Overall even though it was bad news for my baby they were very concerned and wanted me to contact them with the results. This will be my place to go to for all my future needs.

Pretty sad that the office doesn't have accurate records because one of their employees were stealing and you get yelled at repeated by the veterinarian technician because of their poor documentation. I have never had worse customer service or been yelled at like that. Accusations that I wasn't giving my dog his daily medicine when in fact it was never documented that it was purchased on multiple occasions Total disgrace and worst customer service EVER.

On a sunday no vets are open to close to me but thankfull Springfield was open. My dog was choking to death on a dog bone she tried to swallow whole and they took her back right away. 10 mins later my dog was breathing little out of it but is fine. I am so thankful they saved my dogs life.

Dr. Patinsky and the receptionist were both very courteous and helpful. I am so happy I listened to my husband and took the 20 minute drive! The Philadelphia Animal Hospital has cost me 600.00 in unnecessary tests, and told me my cat needed a 1200.00 surgery. Dr. Patinsky will do the same surgery for 530.00.and she showed me the xray and explained everything to me patiently and kindly. I will definitely bring all my animals here from now on.

I love this place they are so good with animals even though they put my cat to sleep they are amazing and if anyone doesnt think so keep it to yourselfs cause this place rocks)

I love, love, love Dr. Pottynski. She is so patient with both my cats and myself. She takes the time to listen to me and answers all of my questions. I can't say enough great things about her. She is the best.

I have 5 cats and also help out with animal rescue, so I make very frequent visits to the vet. The staff at SAH are the best. They take great care of my animals and of the strays that I bring in. The rates are fair and the service is very personal. It is easy to tell when someone is working in the field just for money or whether they truly love animals. I will definitely continue to be a loyal customer.

Dr. Pottynski Is a great doctor, I have 4 cats and I drive an hour to see her I have a diabetic cat and he is doing great, I can't say anything but great things about Springfield animal hospital I've been going here for 20 years
